This was a great company to work with and was recommended to me by several people. My work project was well-defined, well scheduled, and everyything went according to plan.

Michael Thrasher, Brian, and their team did a great job installing a sump pump, dehumidifier, and french drain in our basement. They were professional and left the basement in a clean condition after the work.

I reached out to Brian after receiving a referral from my contractor. Brian helped me secure a structural engineer and helped to figure out the best way to address the issue of stabilizing the floors in our 100 year old home. Once construction began, Drew and his crew were so good. They kept the house as clean as possible and worked hard every day until completion of the job. They completed the work on time and under budget! I would highly recommend Southern Home Structural Specialist and the great work they do!

All around a great experience! Brian was incredibly kind and professional during the initial visit to address our concerns. Didn’t feel like we were being sold to but just getting an honest opinion from a professional. Mike and his crew came out to do the work and everyone was extremely professional and they were in and out in 6 hours tops. We had 7 support beams installed. The space was cleaned up so well that, aside from the new beams, you wouldn’t have known anyone had been there.

Updated review: the work on my home is complete. I am very satisfied with the results. I met with Drew- the on site contact. He was great! He kept me informed everyday, letting me know what they were doing and when they would be done for the day. He was very easy to work with during the project. This is a first rate company. Brian and Southern Home Structural got involved with our basement work when we realized the water that was routinely getting into our basement was caused by more issues than initially met the eye. Brian was very accommodating and friendly throughout the entire process. He was always willing to talk and explain the process (I can’t help asking technical questions, I’m an engineer 😂). I knew from the start that Southern Home Structural was the foundation company to choose based on my interactions with Brian, but that was solidified when Jerome and his team showed up start the actual work. They made a difficult job seem easy and were very courteous and professional throughout.
It is daunting when you realize that your home has structural/foundational issues. However, Brian, Jerome, and the rest of the team made the process as stress and pain free as it could be.

We hired Southern Home last month to solve some floor deflection issues in our den and living room and are glad we did. The quote was competitive, and the company was really easy to work with. They worked out a plan to support the floor and were flexible when we decided to support an additional space we hadn’t initially planned on. Everything was clearly explained beforehand, installation went smoothly and our floor deflection issues are gone.

Southern Home Structural did a great job encapsulating my very low crawl space. I was skeptical about the climate in our home changing much, but what a difference it’s made. The installation job was done professionally and in a timely manner. Drew was a fantastic project manager and kept me informed throughout the week long installation, always taking time out of his day to answer my questions. When I noticed a couple minor things that had been overlooked (one missing piece of tape, really) they put me on the schedule and came out to ensure everything was done to their standard and that I was satisfied with the entire install, down to each nail. Really exceptional work!

Michael Thrasher and his team installed helical piers on the corner of our house. They were efficient, professional, and very patient with the many questions I had.

They even assisted with some landscaping with leftover dirt which was not anything they needed to do. Thanks Mike!

Mike and his crew not only did a great job with our crawlspace repair, but they were professional, prompt, and great communicators. They finished the job ahead of schedule and took care to clean up after themselves. They even took my trash cans up from the curb!

Jason came and looked at my grandmother's house. In my mind we were going to need some work done but after a thorough inspection he said that for the age of the house it was normal settling and wouldn't require his services. He recommended me to a structural engineer, just to be on the safe side, and that report came back the same. I appreciated the honesty and integrity to tell me we were fine and not do work just to do it. Will most certainly be using them for any foundation projects in the future and would refer them to anyone!

Matthew came out to advise and provide an estimate for foundation repair on a house that we were preparing to close on. He provided fantastic explanations of what was and was not needed, putting me greatly at ease and giving me a strong basis for negotiating the final price of the house.

Michael and his crew came out this past weekend to do the work (two custom steel support beams and three helical piers), and they were fantastic. Quick, efficient, and unobtrusive, even taking time to move and replant a large bush that was in the way of some of the work they needed to do.

I absolutely recommend SHSS for any work you might have. Excellent customer relations and repair work at a very fair price.

Had a great experience working with Brian. He laid out all of our options thoroughly for the work we needed done and pointed out some things that could use work as well, but wasn’t pushy about anything. He was very communicative and responsive throughout the process. The crew that came to do the work did an outstanding job. I would definitely recommend the company and will be using them for any future foundation work. Brian also though in one of their advertising hats, so I’d say it was definitely worth it 😂
