We just wrapped up a major redesign of our shrub beds with Ledford Landscaping and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Greg Ledford gave us a very detailed quote for the whole project and was incredibly organized throughout.
The prep work was where they really shined. They didn't just pull out the old plant material and throw new things in. They took the time to till and amend the soil properly, which was a huge deal for us. They even worked directly with our original designer to swap out plants once they saw the sun/shade and soil conditions. One example: They replaced the Schip Laurels for Dwarf Burford Hollies. That kind of professional collaboration is rare.
Before any work started, they arranged for all the subterranean pipe and wire locations to be painted so they could modify the design to avoid tilling over those lines. They also coordinated the irrigation service so the beds were pre-stubbed for a slow drip system, which was timed perfectly with the plant delivery and installation.
The final touches really elevated the whole property. They used paint to lay out the new design so we could see the footprint, and their suggestion to add natural rock borders and groups of perennials made a massive difference. The new multicolored flagstone landing they built off the back porch is beautiful and shows real craftsmanship.
The crews were courteous and efficient, and the communication stayed on point the entire time. It is refreshing to work with a team that handles the logistics as well as they handle the plants.
