Very happy with Spring Green lawn care service! We switched to Spring Green earlier this year and Kevin is our lawn service tech and does a great job! He was highly recommended by our neighbor who Kevin also services his yard. I noticed the change in our yard not too long after Kevin started servicing our yard. He really cares, listens and takes the time to do a great job to give customer satisfaction. Michelle in the office also does a great job as well by contacting us prior to service and answering any questions or concerns regarding our lawn service.

I do not recommend SpringGreen Huntsville and their owner, Patrick Rentz. After paying in full and up front for 2025 services, one of their technicians killed two rose bushes, my boxwoods, and damaged several shrubs. I didn’t even demand compensation at the time—I just wanted them to be aware.
Coming into 2026, my yard was full of weeds and still completely yellow, while all my neighbors' lawns were turning green and without weeds. Apparently, I should have used their lawncare provider. I then received a surprise bill for two 2026 treatments I never authorized, at a higher price than the previous year. When I called to question, I was told services 'automatically continue' without a contract or payment. This is when I requested them to cancel services. To which they offered to come back out and spray again. I didn't see the point since whatever they sprayed in the winter and 2 treatments this year obviously produced poor results.
When I spoke to the owner, Patrick Rentz, he was incredibly dismissive. He repeatedly claimed their policy was 'very transparent" despite my confusion. Yet, he admitted he couldn't control what his employees say, and the person that I had signed up with had quit. When I suggested this was a leadership issue, he told me not to 'lecture him on how to run a business' since he has been doing it for 35 years. Clearly, 35 years in business hasn't taught him basic customer service skills or how to treat a client with respect.
Even though the treatments were completely ineffective, I still offered to pay for half the charges just to resolve the matter and move on. Patrick declined and demanded full payment for both unauthorized treatments. Their 'Satisfaction Guaranteed or Refund' policy is a complete lie. I went ahead paid for both "alleged" treatments and cancelled services.
