I have been waiting 20 years for my husband to do something in my yard. He called Michael E. Jones for help. Michael was there the next day to give us a bid. The bid was half of what my husband was expecting. The day after we gave the go-ahead for the job, Michael E. Jones was here to get started. He laid out his plans and let us review and make any changes if we wanted any. There was no need for any changes - it was perfect. The front of my house now looks beautiful. It looks a hundred times better than what my husband and I would have done and he did it in less than a week. I would hire him again to do any landscaping we need. I highly recommend him.

Michael was great to work with; very professional. He designed and built my front yard just by hearing what I wanted. I asked for low maintenance plants. He provided a wide variety of plants that do not require a lot of attention. Due to the conditions (pandemic) beyond his control, he was not able to complete the work in the timeframe originally scheduled. He, then, provided extra plants and services at no additional charge to thank me for my patience. I am well satisfied with the final results. My yard is beautiful! My family and I have been dealing with Mr. Jones for over a year regarding work we hired him to complete on our property. Sadly, despite paying him over $20,000, the work has never been finished. We have given every opportunity, extended patience, and tried to resolve matters fairly, but the results have always been the same—delays, shifting blame, and broken promises. When you go to nurseries near the Washington/Clarke County area, all you have to do is mention his name trust me you will be alarmed and learn everything you need to know.

We never wanted to be in this position. Like most families, we simply wanted the work we paid for to be done so we could move forward with our home. Instead, we’ve spent months waiting, asking, and hoping for progress that never came. It has been discouraging and, at times, embarrassing, watching our property sit unfinished while excuses replaced action.

I share this not out of anger, but out of transparency. Everything is documented in writing, and we are now preparing to resolve this in court. I truly hope that by sharing our experience, other families and businesses can make informed decisions before going through what we have endured.

For the sake of my wife, my children, and anyone who may trust too quickly, I would strongly encourage others to proceed with caution. No one should have to pay large sums of money and still find themselves begging for work to be completed a year later.
