Excellent service from Ickes Tree Service! They arrived on time, brought plenty of people to complete the job, and were extremely efficient. The quality of the work was professional. They removed 2 large trees from our yard including a 60 ft pine tree. The were respectful of our yard and after the stumps were ground, you couldn’t tell the trees were ever here. Cleaned our yard and left it spotless. Highly recommended. Great job, Ickes!

James just cut up a huge oak tree that had fallen in hurricane Sally. He also moved it to the curb for the city to pick up.
In addition his cleanup was unexpected and very good.

I've hired James several times to do tree work. Each time, I've been pleased with the work and the outcome. The services which James has done for me include taking down troublesome water oaks and magnolias, trimming branches that were over the house with the potential to fall and damage the roof, and removing trees that had died and fallen. A few things that have really impressed me with the work that James has done include putting a tree down in the exact spot he was aiming for without damaging my property or the neighbors, clean up after the job was done, and a willingness to take on some of the work that others have not been interested in. James has done four jobs for us and I plan to continue using him whenever we have a need. Prices are reasonable for the work we've had done.

UPDATE: I just read their response to my review. At no time was any foul language used or derogatory statements made to anyone at Purely Clean. And no letter was ever received. She had my number and could have responded to my messages asking why she failed to show up and if she was okay. This is unreal. Clearly there's some mental issue going on here. I can't imagine any other explanation.

I had used Purely Clean / Karissa Pitts for a year and a half and they almost always did a good job for me (when they didn't, she made it right). But they failed to show up for my last cleaning which was supposed to be on 2/28. I have messaged and called, asked if she was okay, and sent several messages this morning to inquire about why she dropped off the face of the earth. There has been no response to any of my calls or messages. I can only assume they are out of business. It's a very strange way to treat a long-term client. Perhaps that is why they are out of business?

Do not hire Krob Landscaping! After my initial consultation and request for a visual depiction, Frank, the owner, emailed an estimate (very expensive). He didn't send the promised picture, though. Landscaping software is available, but he's too cheap to buy it. A date was agreed upon for Thursday, June 11th. When I texted to confirm, he said the work will be postponed to Monday, June 15th because
"they've gotten into a big job." Yesterday a 2nd appeal was made for an image and affirmation for the Monday start date. A ridiculous primitive picture (2nd grade level) was then sent along with excuses for a delay to Wednesday, June 17th. After I complained, he told me to go elsewhere.

Apparently this company concentrates on greater and more profitable projects, not smaller residential ones. UNPROFESSIONAL! I was so hopeful for a beautiful landscape in my Midtown home; instead this experience has left me with disgust.

If you want a very creative landscaper, an excellent installation crew, and a fair price, call Krob. You will appreciate their ideas, and their enhancement of your ideas. Krob is not the first landscape company I’ve had work at my home, but they are the first to deliver the “wow” factor —- finally, a finished product that enhances the property, instead of looking uninspired & ordinary.
