Reviews of local pros in Homer, Alaska

We have used Hometown Heating Services for years and have always been so responsive and great to work with. They know our system and can problem solve so quickly and get us back in business. It’s nice to be able to work with Rick and his team.

Rick has always been super responsive. We appreciate all the years that he has been servicing our needs at our various buildings. You can always count on Rick to communicate, be fair and complete excellent work!

Rick and his folks were very responsive and came out the same day to help me troubleshoot an issue with my Rinnai gas heaters. Would highly recommend!

Rick, Justin and Dakota were fantastic to work with! Rick responded within an hour to all of my questions, with thorough and timely explanations of what needed to get done. Justin explained things in a way that I could understand. Very helpful. Totally recommend them.

Rick is great to work with! He was honest and reliable about timeline. He communicated really well throughout the whole experience. We would recommend his service to friends!

Hometown Heating got us scheduled quickly to install our diesel Toyo unit. Their service was completed quickly and customer service was top notch. We had a few questions on our unit as it was a new system for us and they were very knowledgeable and informative.

Rick at Hometown carefully explained what was needed to get my Toyo in top running condition after it was in my home for 3 years. His guy, Walker came over and put in a loaner so my Toyo 730 could have thorough maintenance in the shop. New necessary parts were put in and now I have 3 years til my next maintenance is due. The service and trouble shooting was given with care and attention and very timely. My home will be warm and my life with my husband carefree. Thank you Rick and Walker.

Hometown Heating has serviced my furnace expertly, reliably, and timely for years. An annual " wellness exam" keeps it humming and me happy. Janet

Quirky place like an old time fix it shop. Completely full of stuff hanging all over. They had the part I needed for an older Toyo and found it immediately in all the stuff (other shops looked at my stove and just shook their head). Fixed my stove and it’s been running like a champ for nearly a year. Great place! They will fix it when no one else will even look at your problem.

Great service. Dropped our Toyo stove on a Monday for service and got it back in 2 days. The stove was long overdue for service and needed some TLC. The team at Hometown Heating took care it at a reasonable price. Thank you Hometown Heating!

I recently had the pleasure of engaging Hometown Heating for a service on my forced air heating system, and I am thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and expertise. From the initial consultation to the completion of the job, the Hometown Heating team demonstrated exceptional knowledge and skill. They were prompt, efficient, and went above and beyond to ensure that my heating system was not only repaired but also optimized for peak performance. The technician was courteous and took the time to explain the issues and the steps they were taking to address them. Their commitment to customer satisfaction and their reliable service make them my go-to choice for any heating-related needs. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking top-notch heating solutions and service.

Rick and company have taken excellent care of my home and my relative’s homes for years. Hometown is definitely the ones I call for rapid professional service. Kudos to them!. Thanks Rick.

Rick and Hometown Heating are (and always will be) my go-to heating maintenance and repair service. Whether it is routine maintenance or an emergency repair needed in the dead of winter, they respond promptly and professionally to my every call. Rick is as honest as they come, and I so appreciate and value his recommendations and expertise. I highly, highly recommend Hometown Heating!

Great service! Set a date to come out and install a Toyo stove, and guess what, they came and did the work we requested. Very appreciative! Some contractors around here, you call and talk to them and set a date for service, and then never hear from them again. Not these guys. Excellent work and communications!

Not sure who Rick is but Silas 99% sure that was his name was great. Have them back anytime

They were prompt and very professional. We've used them for many years and have always been happy with their service. Would recommend to anyone with boiler or heating issues

We really appreciated how quickly they were able to get to us. Made it to our house a couple of hours after we called. Had the parts and fixed the problem. That’s terrific service. We recommend Hometown Heating very highly!

Justen and Rick were great, responded quickly when my heating suddenly went haywire and took over for prior tradesman who'd recently retired. Very knowledgeable, highly professional, kind folks. Great service!

Once again, Howntown Heating rescued me from a boiler making increasingly scary noises! The whole system was given expedient professional and complete service, with some also provided learning experience for me. It also cost far less than I was expecting. I am so thankful they came to my house to provide service to my whole heating system, and with friendly kind service.

These guys are a great local company who were looking out for us. They kept us in mind and checked in with us for continuing service to our heater and worked around our schedule to get the job done right. The bill even came in lower than expected. Super nice guys and very professional. Would recommend them to anyone in the lower peninsula area. Thanks to Rick and Justin at Hometown Heating Services!

Silas did a great job tuning up the hot water heater and the Toyo. Would recommend!
