Modern Desert Landscapes

I’d give 10 stars if I could. Make this landscaper your first and only call. They are ARTISTS!! Transformed my dirt backyard into an oasis in 3 days for a reasonable price. The entire process was seamless. Nick was awesome, he didn’t require me to spell out every detail, he knew what would look good and they nailed it. Great people. White glove service. CALL THEM.

Have to say at first we were pretty happy with the service. Nick giving the estimate was very friendly. On the day of we were really surprised when other people showed up to do the job, we had no idea they subcontracted their work.. not too huge of a deal but transparency wasn’t there. The workers that came probably worked 2 hours out of the 8 they were here- otherwise sat around by our house on their phones and by the windows. A 4 day job that probably should have taken 2. We were verbally told one price on the day of when adding a little bit of pavers, then sent the invoice and it was double what we were verbally told. The workers started one area that we had requested to be paved, then decided they didn’t want to do it and covered it back up with rock. They left and we were told they were done- had to call the company and ask them to come and finish it. There is also a drain for rainwater, which traditionally a pipe of some sort would be attached and go under the pavers so water doesn’t pool and the pavers don’t get ruined, however pavers were just placed next to it. We now have to figure out how to either block this or hire someone else to fix it. The first rainstorm after the work, all of the sand in the front of the driveway flowed down and out of the joints of the pavers- and we now have to buy the correct sand, polymeric sand, to fill the gaps. Overall was happy until the work was done, with the amount we paid we expected a bit more transparency and better workmanship. I get our project wasn't the huge and fancy that they were used to, but we should still receive the same quality of work. I tried to call a few times and no one answers the phone.

I have worked with Modern Dessert Landscapes on 2 projects so far. They have been great fantastic to work with and we have been very happy with the quality of work and their backing of the their work/product. Would recommend them without concern and plan to use them again in the near future.
