Bob did full front and backyard landscaping for a new home build. He did pool features, walls and scuppers, custom BBQ, turf, even tore out concrete driveway and replaced with pavers. Great job good price.

Bob came out to my home today 05/04/17 Bethany Home Estates in Litchfield to give me an estimate on a job. I told him my budget was 11k He didn't seem at all interested at the task at hand and I had to repeat to him several times basic things I just told him. My house sits on 3/4 of an acre and the backyard is very large. I explained to Bob that I only needed a certain portion of my yard completed, due to the size, so I only needed directly behind my house landscaped and almost to the back wall. I have weeds and river rocks that need to go in order for the new gravel to come in. I asked Bob what would he do about those items. Bob said, and I quote. " I would have to scrape away all the river rocks but I'm not dumping them." I asked, "Then what will you do with them." Bob said while drinking the water I provided for him, " I'll put them in a large pile and put dirt over it." I immediately said, "Well that ain't happening." WHAT!?!...who does that!..needless to say I ended our estimate and then read off what another company was going to do for right around the same price Bob was offering and all he could say was, "Is he licensed, bonded and insured." I told Bob "Yes" and Bob said, "Sign him up." I said, "Will do" and then escorted Bob out of my house. I don't know if he was having a bad day, but I definitely didn't appreciate the way Bob was willing to do my yard for 11k and some change and leave a large pile of river rocks and dirt in my yard and not dump them in the landfill which is literally 2 miles away from my home. Good luck to whoever chooses him for their job.

Hansel construction came in and created a beautiful 200 foot driveway for us. Bob listened to what we wanted and created what we needed. The crew that works for him is A+, we would take them out a treat and they would actually wait until break time to eat. Hard working!!! Beautiful work.

We have been wanting a peaceful and relaxing backyard that we can escape too since moving into our home. We have planned and designed and redesigned as we imagined what it could be over the past year. Big thanks to Bob Hansel Landscaping and his crew for working with us and making the designs a reality! Hansel Landscaping revamped all of the plants in our backyard and made it feel much more relaxing. He was fun to work with (easy to talk about ideas with & had a sense of humor), he actually heard what I was asking for and executed it quickly. The plants he selected made sense to what I was looking for and he seemed very knowledgeable about what will survive, when things will bloom, what will be best where, etc. His crew took care of the entire yard in a single day (removal of existing plants, planting many new plants, new irrigation, and gravel). The result is a clean, professional, and tropical look- right up my alley. Thank you Bob and crew :)

I couldn't be happier to leave 5 star review for Bob and his crew! Listen, the saying "you get what you pay for" holds true... however, there is something else to be said about great customer service. Bob was not interested in landing a big job... he was genuinely interested and invested in the project and solution oriented to provide what I was looking for and provide answers to many of my concerns. I needed a solid worry free job in my commercial environment. His resort background came into play with colors, materials and took care of all my ADA requirements for my clients to enjoy the outdoor oasis that he designed and implemented. He did an amazing job and I got more than a awesome landscape... I made a great friend! His crews are so nice and professional. They leave their workspace clean and are always willing to go above and beyond.

To the reviewer that left a 1 star review. I don't know who needs to take credit for giving someone a bottle of water but after reading your comical review... I couldn't imagine what a complete douche you had to have been for Bob to have treated you in the manner you claim; even if you were 1% truthful.

Hansel Construction was fantastic! They drew up a design we loved after listening to all of our requests. When the work began the workers were professional, hard working and thorough. The job was finished earlier than expected. We had 200 sq ft of pavers installed, a pergola and lawn/plants. It looks gorgeous and we now have a wonderful outdoor living space. Could not recommend them more!

Bob Hansel and his crew are great to work with! The crew showed up on time, Bob stuck to his estimate, and work finished on schedule. I’m very happy with the end product and highly recommend Hansel Construction. I would definitely use them again.

Bob and his team updated our backyard landscape replacing retaining walls, plantings, decorative rock, etc.and adding a pergola shade structure. We are extremely pleased with the result and are getting very positive comments from friends and relatives. We are already starting to plan having them overhaul the front yard next year. Bob and Caroyl are excellent people with whom to deal and we recommend them highly.

Hansel Landscape did a wonderful job at our new home. We also talked to another landscaper and told both companies what we wanted a basic landscaping. We stressed we did not want to spend very much at that time. Bob Hansel came back with a much more reasonable plan and cost. He and his crew did a great job and we appreciated how polite and efficient they all were.

We had a wonderful experience with Hansel landscaping. They took our bare, awful backyard and turned it in to a true oasis. First, Bob was great at our meeting, he listened to what we wanted and helped fill in gaps. He took into account the style of or house and helped designed something that flows with everything else. They were very communicative and prompt. I thought the project would take 2-3 weeks and it was done in about 10 days. His team works incredibly hard and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Bob and his team are top-notch. We just completed an $18K 2-week backyard renovation w Hansel, and we could not be happier w the outcome. We had over 6 landscape contractors bid the project, and several drew up plans. Hansel was the 2nd lowest bid, but we chose Bob and his team because they struck the right balance of creative and sensible, while still under budget. Furthermore, Bob's follow through during the bid process gave me 100% confidence they would deliver the goods, on-time and on-budget. Bob and his team were punctual, always friendly, and left the job site neat and orderly each day (always a good sign of crew who takes pride in their work). we changed a few things during the project, and Bob never batted an eye, he wasn't happy unless we were happy. A+

The first time I met Bob, it was clear he was different from every other landscape contractor - they all gave me cookie cutter designs or quoted outrageous fees once they learned what neighborhood I live in. Bob is definitely an artist who thinks about color, placement, architectural elements and appropriate plant material. Both he and his team pay attention to the details, are very creative, honest and do beautiful work for a very fair price. We're so pleased with our front and back yards and so are our neighbors, who have also hired Hansel for various projects. Thanks Bob!

Hansel Landscape & Construction are awesome! We wanted a waterfall in our backyard and finding someone that responds back and takes the time to come to your home to see what you are wanting is not easy. They do great work and are not over priced. We love our waterfall!!! It is exactly what we had envisioned!! Bob and Carol are great, they are friendly, honest, genuine people and we highly recommend them!

They turned my jumbled and somewhat vague description into a clean, easy to care for, beautiful yard. I wanted easy maintenance (check), relaxing or zen (check), and functional (check). Their prices are more than fair and Bob is so honest. I loved it, so refreshing! Pictures are right after a rain, so don't mind the different colors in the pavers and rocks. I cannot wait for the plants to grow and make my yard better than it already is.

Hansel Landscape & Construction did a large project for us that involved regrading, rain runoff diversion, masonry, rustic stairs, and stone and landscaping. Caroyl got the project started very quickly. Bob cared about our wants and he and his crew created beautiful landscaping around our home. Everyone was very professional and friendly. The crew arrived on time every day and was courteous and friendly. The project was done at a very fair price and we were sad to see everyone leave when it was done. We recommend Hansel Landscape & Construction to anyone needing work done, large or small.

We were SO happy with our side and backyard renovation that we added the other side, the driveway, and the front yard. Bob and Caroyl were so great to work with. Bob and Carol were great to deal with. Bob's crew was great. They were very diligent in placing each and every paver perfectly. The end result is way better than I expected. The landscaping lights look great at night as well. And all for what I believe was a very fair price. I would hire Hansel Construction again for my next project.

We have known Bob and Carol Hansel for many years. Thus, it was a great pleasure to be able to work with Hansel Landscape & Construction in the renovation and rejuvenation of our backyard. Bob's plans and recommendations set the stage for remaking our patio. There was significant demolition of previous structures. We added a walkway on the side of the house; extended the patio; added a pergola with lighting; and created a green area with turf for our dog. Bob created planting areas and helped us pick out appropriate plants for each area. There was installation of new lighting and a new drip system. When the job was finished, we had a backyard which just knocked our socks off. The crew was professional, efficient, and clearly masters of their skills. We are very pleased with the finished product, and we highly recommend Hansel Landscape & Construction.
