Top Choice Electric

It's a shame there are only 5 starts to provide- I give them all the stars. They were a recommended installer for an electric vehicle charger installation. They were always on time, communicated everything very promptly, and assisted with some hiccups (not their fault) with the permitting process in an incredibly supportive way. Michelle was always very informative at every step of the way, and even provided a nudge to me to complete my part in order to not have to start from scratch again.

If you have a close call between them and somebody else, CHOOSE Top Choice!

Normally, I wait to review a business until I’ve had several good or bad experiences with them. Everyone can have a bad day, or you get the owner on rotation and they excel in every way, etc. However, in Top Choice’s case, I’ll make an exception because they had multiple chances to fix a problem another company diagnosed and corrected in ten minutes.

Top Choice, with its claimed ‘tools, equipment, and parts needed to see your project through to completion,’ blamed a dead dryer on the machine. The machine is only a few years old and had been working perfectly since installation until is just went dark one day. This started a round robin of appliance service calls and back to them with pictures and proof that it was the outlet wiring that needed attention. No dice. Two electrical and two appliance service visits later, we had another electrical company come out. This guy diagnosed the problem straight off and had a workable solution immediately. How refreshing to have a company not pass the buck and leave the customer in limbo while you sneak off to your next over-priced service call. Top Choice obviously did not want the business. I will oblige.

Apparently, having “over 30 years of residential and commercial experience” does not prepare the techs with the skills necessary to deliver either good customer service or actually be able to fix anything but the most basic electrical issues. I’m skipping them moving forward. I recommend you do the same.

Very professional and nice and clean install as requested of a 50amp outlet in garage for use with a plug in EV charger.
Would have been 5 star except original appointment was rescheduled for a week later when tech did not turn up due to an emergency job. No discount given for inconvenience
