CNJ was assigned by American Home Shield to respond to my service call for a clogged kitchen clog on 3/17/2019. Their plumber came and barely spend 3 minutes looking at the sink and ran water through. He then left saying I need a hydro jet treatment. I later called the office to speak to him as I wanted to know why he decided in 3 minutes to do a hydrojet treatment without troubleshooting. The receptionist who was extremely rude would not let me talk to the plumber and told me the case is closed. I just want to warn the people to be careful how they operate. you might be wasting your time with cnj I called Freddy Fox and they cleared the clog in 30 minutes. .

So I have a Home Warranty through American Home Shield..who contracts with CNJ Services llc. Yesterday the tech showed up to diagnose our water heater. The tech Richard told us it was the electricity and to call an electrician. We called an electrician and also paid $40.00 for him to tell us the electricity was not the problem. Called AHS again and Richard from CNJ Services would come out a 2nd time today between 12n and 3pm. Both days my husband lost 3 hours of work to wait. Well at 3:00pm still no Richard. After calling CNJ we were told no one was coming out because he contacted the manufacture on the side of our water heater and the parts would not be in for 3 days. First off how in the hell does Richard even know what is wrong and what parts to order because he said it was the electricity? 2nd of all who is he to call the manufacturer to obtain parts for free? 3rd my husband also called the manufacturer and they said we could go to any Lowes and pick them up for free today. American Home Shield and CNJ Services Llc are scams.

My water heater was leaking. Called AHS the warranty company - standard fee $75.00. The warranty company used CNJ Services and scheduled their tech for the appointment. The tech showed up took pictures and said the water heater needed to be replaced. He took the manufacturers sticker. AHS called this morning to tell me that the water heater was covered by the manufacturers warranty and that CNJ would bring the new one out, dispose the old one and charge us $425 for the modifications (hooking up three,conduit pipes). CNJ called to scheduled the appointment. I told the lady that called to just remove the old water heater and leave the new water heater and i would call a plumber to install the new water heater. She said that isn’t the way the warranty works through the contractor and AHS. So in summary: The warranty company doesn’t have to pay anything because the water heater is covered by the manufacturer and CNJ charges $425 to,hook up three pipes and dispose of the old tank.
Here is a suggestion for anyone thinking about scheduling an appointment with CNJ. Take the sticker information from your water heater and call the manufacturer to see if it is under warranty. If it is, ask them how to get a replacement. Call several plumbing companies to get bids for installation and disposal of the old water heater. This is a one hour job. Let’s say it cost $50 to take the old water heater to the dump. That means $375/hour. The fact that you are in no position to negotiate and have no leverage with the company is frustrating and maddening. To say the least. CNJ has lost a customer forever
