We worked with Bob Kapci of Square One Construction through four distinct phases of our remodel, transforming our dark "Tuscan" home into a bright and airy desert contemporary. We are thrilled with the end result, and we can't recommend Bob highly enough. Bob's experience, knowledge, easy-going demeanor, and "we-will-make-you-happy" attitude made him a pleasure to work with. He organized the phases of our construction methodically, always describing the pros and cons of various options. Bob is very honest and forthright; he informed us when he didn't think the benefits of a proposed change were worth the price tag. On the rare occasion when one of his subcontractors made a mistake, Bob took care of the problem without any complaints, determined to make the situation "right." Unlike many general contractors, Bob is also extremely responsive; he typically answered our calls and texts immediately, but if he was in a meeting or on the other line, he called us back promptly. We love our "new" home, and we are grateful we had Bob Kapci and Square One Construction to guide us through the process!

We had a complete flooring and baseboard remodel, kitchen and bathroom countertops redone, an electric stove converted to gas range, a shower added to a bathroom, master bedroom window converted to a door out to our patio, and our 3rd car garage converted into a home office. Square One was great at communicating with us when moving out of our home. They were efficient and professional in every step of the process. Helped us choose our bathroom accessories, windows, sinks, etc. and made it a simple streamlined process. They ensured every detail on our punch list was taken care of and reviewed everything on the final walk through. We are now enjoying our lovely remodel. I highly recommend SquareOne, even if it isn’t your lowest quote. You get what you pay for and everything was top notch!

I’ve used Square One Construction a number of times over the years and I’ve been very happy with everything. Bob and his company came highly recommended by an old neighbor, so I was able to see his work beforehand. He was extremely easy to work with and has great subcontractors that work for him. I’ve been so impressed with his electricians, painters, tilers, countertop people, etc. He renovated 3 bathrooms in my old house, which all turned out beautiful. In my new house, he renovated 5 bathrooms, a TV room, various smaller kitchen projects. I had his team work on some things that needed to be redone that were done by the previous owner. A Casita is the next project.

Bob’s communication is great. I’ve never had any issues getting ahold of him. He also has great attention to detail and can recognize when something needs to be redone or perfected. Highly recommend!

Home renovations are notoriously stressful, but with Ryan and team at Square One they made the process as painless as possible. They were communicative, always had a solution ready for the inevitable project hiccups, and offered helpful recommendations as this was our first time doing something of this scale. We recommend Square One to all of our friends and would love to work with them again in the future.

Square One Construction just finished up a kitchen remodel project for us and I cant say enough good things about Ryan and the people he has working with him. Ryan's communication is outstanding. We always knew the schedule, he responds quickly when we had questions and was onsite when work was being done. All the guys that came into our house (Design, Demo, Electricians, Plumbers, Cabinet install, Counter install, Appliance, etc.) were professional, pleasant and just excellent at their trade. I do not hesitate highly recommending Square One Construction and will have them do our next remodel when the time comes.

We were putting off our kitchen remodel due to uncertainty about contractors, inconvenience, etc. when we were told about the people at Square One and decided to meet with them. Best decision we could have made! Ryan was knowledgeable, attentive, patient, and kept everything moving in a timely manner. I always knew that he was a quick text away if there was a question or concern. All the subcontractors he brought in were professional, pleasant, and kept any disruption to a minimum. The vendors he recommended were also extremely helpful and easy to work with. The project was completed on schedule and we are extremely pleased with the result. I absolutely loved working with Van. She was very quick to respond to texts and emails. She did an incredible job of making my 1980’s outdated kitchen look modern and bright.

Before contacting Van, I didn’t know where to begin and was feeling very overwhelmed about how to put everything together. Van took me shopping and helped me select the perfect items for my remodel. I felt very comfortable working with her.

I can't say enough good things about Van and her team. Our kitchen was straight out of the early 2000s — it needed a complete remodel. From the very beginning, the team's professionalism and expertise was clear.

Van spent many hours with me, making sure they designed exactly what I wanted: a kitchen that was light, bright, modern-but-not-too-modern, and (above all else) super functional. She met me at countless stores to pick out the perfect materials and finishes. (She even gave me ideas and recommendations for other rooms in my house, and her design eye is incredible!) Her contractors were fast, extremely knowledgeable, and genuinely nice people.

The job was done on time, and I have only great things to say about the entire process. They installed new cabinets, countertops, backsplash, lighting, and appliances.
