I received a quote to add wiring for a hot tub. My electrical panel was full, and they said they would add a Tandem (split) breaker like the one that was already in my panel to make room for the hot tub breakers. They never checked that my electrical panel does not allow Tandem breakers (the one that was in there was installed improperly). I had to request a sub panel be installed, not them.

I accepted a new quote with a sub panel and asked for Zimmerman to obtain an electrical permit (required by the city and my HOA). They said it would take 3-4 weeks to get the permit. They did not start the application for the permit until 6 weeks after my request for them to obtain a permit. I then requested a date for the work to be done one month after they started the application for the permit. They came as scheduled and completed the work to my satisfaction but did so without a permit. It was over six weeks after the work was completed that a permit from the city was obtained.

During this whole period, I had reached out to get updates, and many times I did not get an answer back. The work was completed well (4 star rating) as quoted, but the communications was terrible (1 star rating).

I wanted to add an outdoor plugin on my patio. Sent my request online at their web page on Saturday. Received a response on Sunday and scheduled an 8:00 am service call on Tuesday. Chris the technician, arrived at 7:45am and was completed by 8:20am. Now that is serviced than the customer is looking for. Chris was personable, great happy attitude and got to work quickly. I would recommend this serviced to everyone.

Bryon and Chris installed a 60amp EV charger and did an amazing job. Zimmerman did a quick and effective quote, and came in much better than 5 others I got quotes from. Will definitely use Zimmerman for my next electrical project.

All of the electricians are incredibly skilled professionals who can easily handle any repair, installation or emergency. Costs are always reasonable and fully explained. I am grateful to have found such an amazing company.

This is my second (possibly third) time doing business with Zimmerman Electric. So glad I continue to use this company for electrical projects around the house. I thought the quote given was very fair. So, we had them come out to install a chandelier.

However, upon inspection the installers thought the chandelier was WAY too big for the space. Initially thought the same, but the wife doesn’t listen to me… hahaha. Took these two professionals to tell her it was not feasible to put such a large piece in our space. Ultimately, they could’ve just installed it, and got paid. Though, they warned about it being installed and the wife might not be happy with the outcome.

These two gentlemen were very knowledgeable, courteous, and understanding. We discussed procurement of a smaller chandelier, and rescheduling for them to come back out.

Once the new item is in hand we’ll definitely be calling these guys back out. Can’t go wrong with Zimmerman.

I requested a quote and availability for installation of two sun tunnel dimmers wired to one switch, along with a new outlet. I was told the company charged $125/hour and had availability, which I interpreted as confirmation they were both capable of and prepared for the work.

The technician arrived on time, but appeared unprofessional and seemed unfamiliar with the scope of the job. He was confused when I mentioned sun tunnel dimmers and stated he did not know anything about installing an outlet. After briefly reviewing the schematic, he said the dimmers would be “a lot of work” and needed to send photos to the office. There was no initiative to complete even the outlet installation, which I expected to be a basic electrical task.

After expressing my dissatisfaction, I was told the company felt it was best I work with another provider. Overall, the experience felt unprepared and dismissive, and I was surprised by the lack of willingness to perform work that was clearly described in advance.

I was very happy with Gabriel and his nephew's (sorry, I can't remember your name!) installation of my bedroom ceiling fan on 3-26-2026. They were professional and very courteous. I appreciated the handsome nephew's help when he took the old ceiling fan out to the trash. I would have given a 5star rating; except there was a mix-up on the start time. I was told start time by Angi service would be 8am; it was 10:15am. This may have been Angi's goof. I will call J & M again. Thank you. -td

Jason and his associate came to my house to install 2 outlets. They were on time, wore masks to protect me, were polite and professional, did a great job with the installtion and even threw my old heavy micowave away for me. I will be using them again for future electical work and will be recommending them to family and friends.

I wish I could give J & M Repairs 10+ stars. From my initial phone call to the repair work completed, they are professional and very knowledgable. I had an electrical/outdoor sun shade that wasn't working. They established immediately the problem and gave me a very accurate estimate for repair. It was a pleasure having them in my home. You can't go wrong if you call Jason and Maria for you repair needs.

Was on time, professional, and cleaned up after themselves. They gave me a 30 minute warning call since I had a time window for them to show up. They arrived and did the work at the price point we had spoke about over the phone. I was pleased with their work and spoke about some future projects. I would recommend them to anyone who needed an electrician.

Narciso and his fellow electrician did an excellent job for us. They were here on time and explained the process very well. They had difficulty finding a bad GFCI circuit but methodically worked to fix it in just a few minutes. We will call them again when we need their services.

These guys are extremely professional and knowledgeable! They installed a ceiling fan for me, it looks fantastic and they did a superb, quick job. Very responsive and communicative before the appt and throughout the install. Highly recommend.

We have used J and M Repairs a few times now and they are amazing!! They are extremely knowledgeable, easy to work with and their pricing is honest and fair. We purchased a new home 8 months ago and the builder's electrical contractor refused to troubleshoot an issue that we were having. They were going to charge us $800 to run a dedicated circuit, which would not have fixed the problem. Jason found the problem and fixed it in less than an hour! Saving us a ton of money. We have had these guys out a few times for ceiling installs through Lowes and had them come back to do some other electrical work. They are quick, efficient and clean! I appreciate that they answer all my questions quickly and thoroughly. I definitely would recommend them.

After leaving a message, I soon received a call back from Jason. I described the problem with our outside garage door light (one of two), he gave me a quote, and in a little more than an hour two techs arrived. After determining the problem, Narciso and his helper made the repair, brought the electrical connection up to code, and completed the job in about an hour. I will definitely use J and M for any future electrical work.
