In September 2015 I bought an Air Conditioner from Donnie Reed of Crescent Mechanical LLC and he told me the warranty was for ten years parts and compressor with 2 year workmanship. Donnie Reed and I signed an agreement to that on 9/17/2015.
On June 11, 2020 the air conditioner was not blowing cold air, I called Donnie and left a message. Later in the day I felt it started working so I called him back and left a message and told him it was working. That same day it started blowing hot air again. I called Donnie back and left a message but no response. It was too hot to go without air conditioning. I called another Company and they came out within the hour. He said it needed a new coil which would cost $2250.00. I told him it was still under warranty so he got all the information off the unit and called the maker of the air conditioning unit. And he found out the warranty was never sent in. The only thing they could do was warranty it from the time it was built which was March of 2015 till March 2020. So I had no warranty. So the company I had called came out three different times to put freon in the unit so we could get cool air. And during that time I kept calling Donnie Reed leaving messages and even on e-mail and he never called back until June 25 which was 14 days later.( I have phone records showing my calls to him and his one returned call to me) He said he got a letter from the Register of Contractors and he wondered what was going on. I explained the situation and he denied getting all the calls from me and said he only got two. He wanted to know what he could do to make me happy and I said pay the $2250.00, but he did not like that. And it and the called ended their.
I think I do not need to say anymore. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY WHICH IS OWNED BY DONNIE REED. He did nothing right from the beginning and did not honor his contract.
