This was my first experience with getting my ducts cleaned; my dryer vent was fully obstructed. John was my technician today, and he was wonderful from the moment he arrived. He was friendly, polite, and immediately made a great impression at the door. He explained everything thoroughly before getting started and took the time to walk me through the process so I understood exactly what would be happening.

Throughout the service, he was extremely respectful of my home, quietly moving in and out and being very mindful of my animals. I really appreciated that level of consideration.

He also showed me before-and-after photos and explained what he was seeing, which made the entire process very transparent. When he finished, everything was cleaned up beautifully and put back together even better than it was when he started.

This was an exceptional first experience, and I will absolutely recommend DuctKing to my family and friends.Thank you, John!!

Jose cleaned my dryer vent in a very timely manner with skill and a great smile. I appreciate him taking the time to explain what different scenarios could happen before he even started sinse the hose hasn't been cleaned out in the 15 years I've owned this house and who knows if the previous owners ever did it!
I have an interior wall and a high cathedral ceiling so my 22' vent hose goes up into the attic and out of the sloped roof. Lots of old lint was revealed and I'm so glad I got it done by Duct King. Now my dryer works 10 times better.

I did use a coupon for the duct cleaning so I do wonder if the service is not "full" service. Dust was blown everywhere, I'm still cleaning it up. The vents were not all cleaned and those that were weren't done very well. The boss called constantly so the tech may have been new. It seemed like he was being rushed. I had a lot more work done than what the coupon was for so maybe they didn't plan on that happening. The tech did a couple of before pics but no after pics so I don't know how clean the ducts are but they are cleaner than when we started. I also ended up sending my living room area rug with them to clean. They had it done in a couple of days. It looks great!

UPDATE: Jose came out and redid all of the work I originally had done. The vents look much better. Hopefully I won't have the dust when the heater comes on anymore. He cleaned up the floors and anything that he noticed were from the first tech.

Edit 11/06/2025: The Operations Manager gave me a call the morning after my initial review was posted. He stated that he was extremely disappointed that initial contractors did such a poor job and offered to schedule a more experienced staff member to come perform the work as it should have been done from the beginning. He was able to immediately schedule me for same day service. Phil and Josh came and did a wonderful, thorough job. They were both patient and explained the process and provided additional information regarding typical frequency and services that would usually be done. Phil also gave information based on both recommended frequencies and budget-conscience frequencies. Had Phil and Josh come the first time around this would have been a 5-star review. I appreciate the follow-up and would certainly do business again, as long as the work is done the way Phil and Josh did it.

Original Review 11/05/2025: Cannot recommend. Requested a dryer vent extraction and a supply vent + return extraction. It was a 30 minute job using $20 tools that can be had from Amazon. You are essentially paying a significant sum for them to drive out to you.

Regarding the supply vent + return extraction, they only went through 4 of the 7 vents that we had. When questioned about it, they just glossed over it. I let it be since they seemed to have no intention to do anything more about it.

Regarding the dryer vent, this was as expected. Again, anyone could do it with a $20 brush from Amazon, but fair enough for the cost of the trip and labor.

Regarding the sanitizer and sealer, I'm not even sure what they did. They simply said they did it, and I saw no materials, no tools, and was told the vacuum they use to extract the dust is an all-in-one sanitizer/sealer/vacuum device. It seems the customer is regarded to be an idiot.

All in all it was $348.43, when its advertised at $99.95 for the supply vent, $69.95 for the dryer vents.

Also, they charged for the return vent work when they didn't even open the return vent at all. I will be reporting this to the Attorney General's Office. Maybe nothing will come of it, but this level of service is absolutely unacceptable at this cost rate.

Edit: I forgot to add that they also left every vent area dirty with dust. No vacuuming, no cleaning. They even asked me to use my dust pan and broom.

Jose did great service. He fixed a dryer vent on our roof. He was very friendly and great customer service. Only thing I did have a concern about was the initial price that was stated before he did the work and fo some reason the price was about a $100 more when the job was done. There was some miscommunication but DuctKing took care of it which was still kind of high for not owning the home which was explained to Jose at start.

-Would like to add that once the heater went on dust went everywhere. There were no after photos or looking to see if everything was cleaned. The boss had called and put what seemed to be a rush on the tech. I also used a coupon and was quoted around $250. for air vent cleaning. Once the tech evaluated he highly recommended that I do a cleaner and then a sealer. Total was up to $600.. so much for the coupon!@?! He called and spoke with the boss and said he could do $500.. The tech was nice but I won’t be using there services again.

Extreme Bait-and-Switch Tactics - Avoid This Company

I am writing this review to warn others about the deceptive practices of Duct King. Our experience was a textbook bait-and-switch scam, and I do not want anyone else to fall victim.

We booked a duct cleaning service after receiving a clear, upfront quote of $70 by prior telling that the vent duct is on roof and we were told yes, it is covered. However, on the day of the service, the technician arrived and immediately shifted into high-pressure scare tactics. He claimed our ducts were a severe fire hazard and presented other alarming (and likely exaggerated) issues that were never mentioned during the booking.

Feeling concerned and pressured on the spot, we were presented with a final bill that was more than triple the original quote for services and "necessary" repairs we never agreed to and were not disclosed beforehand. The initial low price was simply a trap to get in the door.

This is not professional service; it is a scheme designed to frighten homeowners into paying for expensive, unplanned work. The lack of transparency and the predatory upselling are unacceptable.

BEWARE: If you book with Duct King, the price you are quoted is almost certainly NOT the price you will pay. They will use fear to inflate your bill significantly. I strongly advise you to look elsewhere for honest and reputable service providers.

This company sends a flyer out weekly. To get services for a reasonable price and then bait and switch I asked for a basic carpet cleaning( Per the coupon advertisement $34.75 for 5 rooms ) at the bottom of the coupon it says visibly soiled carpet will require preconditioning at 25 cents per square foot we highly recommend 3M Scotchgard protector. So I asked can I just get the basic service I do not want the preconditioning. He said no we have to come out and look at the carpet and decide whether we're going to charge you the 25 cents per square foot I said I have brand new carpet see in pictures ...I'm sorry ma'am he said it doesn't work that way do not use this company with a coupon... to me this is false advertising because you should have the right to use the coupon and have the basic service without adding anything on and he said they make that decision that is false advertising. 🤦 So I give them a one star as a Google reviewer.
