Great guy, knows his business

This guys does a great job. Fast and inexpensive. I had one guy give me an estimate of 1900 for a job. Epperson Electric did the job for 350. And in 1/3 of the time the other guy said he would.

I called Epperson Electric to schedule an outlet install. Richard was very prompt in returning my call and quoted me a fair price for the work. He arrived on time, and the work was completed in less than an hour. I also inquired on other electrical issues for possible work, and Richard was very forthcoming and honest in his assessment on the required work and equipment needed. I will definitely use Epperson Electric again!
Thanks Richard! -

Sunstate is our go-to for all electrical and HVAC work. They did all the electrical for the remodel of our townhome and most recently installed a mini-split AC unit on our garage. Brent and Trevor, the owners, are highly experienced, knowledgeable, and honest. We recommended them to our neighbor who needed a new AC unit on their home. The installation went like clockwork and the bid was very competitive. Our neighbors couldn’t be happier too. Thank you Brent and Trevor!

I cannot express enough how appalled I am by the substandard and negligent work provided by Trevor and his team at Sunstate Power Solar Solutions. They installed the AC unit and main electrical panel in my home before I purchased it in 2023, and the experience has been a continuous disaster from the very start.
The issues began immediately. The unit could not maintain a proper temperature from day one, and shortly after moving in, a heavy rainstorm exposed their sloppy ductwork installation. Water poured into my living room because the ductwork and surrounding areas were not properly sealed. Despite promptly reporting the issues to Trevor, I was met with extreme neglect, empty promises, and outright lies.
Trevor’s lack of professionalism was evident in every interaction. He admitted to me at one point, “I have to come out and do the work because I can’t pay my insurance for the employees, so they are back at the warehouse cleaning, and I’m out here actually working.” That alone speaks volumes about the operation he’s running.
The times Trevor did show up to “fix” the issues, the results were even worse. Instead of addressing the problems, he made them more severe. His inability to explain the work he was doing was concerning, and his follow-ups were nonexistent. On February 5, 2024, he texted me, claiming he had ordered a replacement coil and ambient temperature sensor weeks earlier and was waiting for them to arrive. That was the last I heard from him. Despite sending countless texts, leaving numerous voicemails, and even emailing addresses I believed to be associated with the company, I received no response.
After further investigation, I discovered that Trevor’s R.O.C. (Registrar of Contractors) license was either expired or canceled at the time of the work. I now question if he was even legally authorized to perform any of the work on my home.
On Christmas Eve, a stroke of luck came when I won a "Secret Santa" raffle through a local social media/radio group. They connected me with a reputable company to assess the damage. The findings were staggering:
Ductwork: The ducting was improperly installed in completely incorrect locations, rendering it highly inefficient.
Sealing: The ducts were not sealed, leading to leaks, puncture holes, and significant energy loss.
AC Unit: The unit was internally caked with dirt and debris, preventing it from functioning properly.
Overall Workmanship: The entire installation was riddled with shortcuts, negligence, and a complete disregard for quality or long-term functionality.
Because of Trevor’s shoddy work, I spent over a year and a half dealing with these issues, experiencing stress, financial strain, and frustration. I cannot overstate the relief of working with a professional company that is now fixing the appalling mess left by Sunstate Power Solar Solutions.
It is infuriating that a company could operate with such blatant disregard for their customers and their homes. Trevor’s negligence and dishonesty have caused significant damage, both financially and emotionally.
I urge anyone considering Sunstate Power Solar Solutions to think twice. Save yourself the endless headaches and heartache of dealing with this unprofessional and unethical company. There are far better options out there, companies with integrity and a commitment to doing the job right. -
