I had another popular local Catalina AC contractor come to do my annual AC service and he found the AC condenser fan motor bearings were going bad causing the fan to vibrate. One thing you don't want in June in Arizona is a bad AC fan motor going out. I asked for an estimate. When I told him I was going to get a second estimate he started yelling and cursing at me over the phone. He was going to use a cheap generic Chinese motor that was not the right speed or size as the original so I dropped him immediately. Then I called Platinum Air since the manager Al is a deacon at our church. He was polite and responsive on the phone and the price was not too bad so I had them do the work. Their price included actual factory parts specifically for my Carrier unit not cheap generic like the other contractor. Andrew came out with a new motor and replaced the bad one in about a half hour. He was just a really nice very professional and personable young technician. He informed me the other contractor put in the wrong size start capacitor previously for the bad motor as well. Bottom line they are not the cheapest but they are honest and trustworthy and just nice people to work with. There are a lot of crooked AC contractors in AZ. that will do shoddy work at premium prices. It was refreshing to get one that I felt I could trust and I have been an electrician for over 40 years. Edit: Wanted to sign up for annual HVAC maintenance and was quoted $280. Called another highly rated local contractor and it was $160 for the same service. What do you do that is worth an extra $120? Your price is not competitive.

I just had a 2 ton American Standard heating & air conditioning unit installed at my condo. I researched Platinum Air on line for their reviews & BBB accreditation. This company is very highly recommended. I talked with the owner Al, the office manager Jay & 2 service techs. Everyone was very personable, professional & knowledgeable. Best of all after installation they were fantastic in their clean up. The techs were very Covid-19 conscientious. I was highly satisfied & they exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend Platinum Air & use them for all my future needs. Thanks to everyone. You are the best!!!

After reading reviews about the quality of service, I chose Platinum and am very glad I did. Armando was fantastic - great communication, explained what was going on and possible issues, and gave options about how best to fix it. I trusted him and his approach and we spent far less than I might have with others. Thank you to Platinum and Armando - I hope not to need you again anytime soon, but if I do, I'll definitely give you a call.

This family owned business went above & beyond in helping me out when my AC unit suddenly stopped working during a heat wave. Fast response! Excellent communication! The issue was quickly diagnosed & fixed. I am very pleased with the professionalism & work ethics of the technician. I highly recommend Platinum Air!

I'm absolutely THRILLED with the routine maintenance service Armando and Andrew provided. My unit was working well but simply hadn't been serviced in awhile, so I wanted someone to check the refrigerant levels, test the electrical connections, and perform the kinds of technical maintenance that I couldn't handle on my own. After calling SIX other local companies, all who either wanted TWICE as much $$ as Platinum did (or who weren't even offering routine maintenance right now) I was lucky enough to reach Al at Platinum AC. He quoted me an almost unbelievably low price to send Armando out and I happily agreed.

Armando arrived right on time with his trainee Andrew and they got right to work. I could tell immediately that Armando was a knowledgeable and conscientious technician by the detailed and careful direction he provided Andrew throughout each step of their inspection. Informative, friendly, and easy to talk to, both of them inspected my system methodically.

Everything checked out perfectly, other than the fan capacitor which they replaced and now has a FIVE-YEAR warranty on it thanks to the quality replacement parts that Platinum insists on using. They didn't try to upsell me on anything, put me on a maintenance contract, or even sell me a single OUNCE of refrigerant that I didn't need, and I sincerely appreciate and respect that kind of honesty and integrity from the companies I hire to do work for me. Great employees! From beginning to end the experience of replacing my air conditioner was made less stressful by all their friendliness and professionalism. They took the time to answer all my questions and were able to replace my unit at a great price, as compared to other companies that I had contacted.

We have been part of their preventive maintenance program since 2017 to extend the life of our aging unit. I had a frustrating experience when my AC suddenly went out last night, leaving me a sweaty mess in this heat. Thankfully, I contacted Platinum Air Heating and Cooling this morning, and they provided a service that exceeded all my expectations.

Upon placing the call, I was pleasantly surprised by their immediate response. They understood the urgency of the situation and managed to fit me into their schedule right away. This promptness was a huge relief, especially during the scorching summer weather.

What truly impressed me was the level of professionalism displayed by the team at Platinum Air. As someone with little knowledge about air conditioners, I was concerned about being taken advantage of or not fully understanding the problem. However, their technicians patiently explained everything to me without making me feel incompetent. They took the time to answer all my questions thoroughly, leaving me with a better understanding of the issue and the steps needed for the repair.

As for the repair itself, the technicians swiftly identified the problem and efficiently resolved it. My AC was up and running in less than 24 hours of going out!!!! I was not expecting that at all! (I figured I would have to make other accommodations to get out of the heat!)

I cannot praise them enough for their outstanding service!!!! The fast response, professionalism, and genuine care for their customers set them apart from other HVAC companies. Our AC stopped working during the summer. It was very important for us to have it fixed promptly since there was a heat warning that day and have a 9 month old baby. We had issues finding a service who would come in to help, and Platinum answered right away and expressed compassion by answering a late night call and attempting to troubleshot over the phone. They were able to come in and service right away before the heat warning. They were very professional in explaining everything to use provided quality materials to fix the issue long term. Thank you very much!

We tried a number of different HVac services and were always disappointed until we tried Platinum Air Heating & Cooling. They do a great job, take pride in the work that they do, and never oversell. It is comforting to know that I can call them in an emergency and they will treat me like a family member.

Platinum did an outstanding job finding and fixing the root cause of a very noisy heat pump outdoor unit after another local company had failed. They took the time to dig into the problem and even pulled in extra technical support from American Standard. The problem was traced to compressor scroll damage caused by pinched refrigerant lines due to poor workmanship by the original installer. American Standard generously provided a new compressor under warranty while Armando and Manuel from Platinum did a first rate job replacing the pinched lines. Very reassuring to know that Platinum has such dedicated and skilled technicians when you’re in a pinch (!) My thanks to all 🤝😎🥳

I had 2 different ac issues with a month. The first time our 17 yr old units went completely down. They responded immediately to my call and were out that day, even though it was a weekend. The 2nd time, I noticed a weird noise and again, Platinum was right there. They offered a couple options to save us $$ without compromising quality. I’m old school and their service was how things used to be. When we replace our units next year, we won’t consider anybody else. We have used other companies. Would recommend to my mother!!

My 9 year old thermostat's display failed and I called 5 reputable HVAC companies. Platinum Air was one of them. They sent out as senior tech experienced with LENNOX Systems. He recommended an easy to use, SMART System that is perfect. He explained in detail how the system works, etc. He gave avery fair price and completed the job efficiently and professionally. Will use him again!

Recently purchased 2 American Standard A/C units from Platinum. After bids from 2 other local companies I went with Platinum. Cost, service, timeliness and install were superior. Al , the owner, is easy to work with and his staff is stellar.

From the minute I called the company to the moment they repaired the AC was fantastic and customer first. Last night our AC stopped working so therefore I called the company at 7 am. The phone was answered by Al and as always he was super friendly. He was able to get Andrew and Manuel to come over to our house. It took them not even 5 minutes to identify the issue (our capacitor) and resolved it immediately. They also provided ideas to avoid these issues with the capacitor due to power surges (I was not aware of this at all). Our AC is working properly and our furry friend can enjoy a nice and cool house again. I don't hesitate to keep doing business with Platinum Air! You can't go wrong with them.
