I rarely post reviews, if you are looking for the best insulation contractor in the Tucson area, call Brett Long at Gales Contractor Services. When we began building our custom home in Marana, I knew I wanted the best insulation I could get at a reasonable price. After researching everything from open and closed cell spray foam, rockwool, etc. I met Brett from Gales and he helped us sort everything out.

First, instead of "selling" us a standard method, Brett asked me what my goals were and what products I was considering. I told him I wanted to achieve at least R30 in the exterior walls and R50 in the ceilings with airtightness and soundproofing throughout the building. He was willing to do whatever we wanted, but also offered his expertise to help us make the best decision to achieve our goals:

Here's where we landed:
Exterior walls (2x6) received 1.5" of closed cell spray foam backed by 4" of BIBs insulation. This flash and batt method gets us R34 in the walls, superior air and moisture sealing and excellent soundproofing.
Ceilings (Trusses) received 3" of closed cell spray foam backed by 8" of open cell spray foam. This gets us R52.
All interior walls including closets, bathrooms, etc. received full BIBs insulation.

I couldn't be happier with the results. Our new home just might be one of the best insulated homes in Tucson. Brett's team came in, did the job quickly, cleaned up afterwards and were always polite and professional. When I found a couple of areas that were missed (Exterior mechanical room), Brett happily sent the team back to complete the work, no questions asked.

I also want to give a shout out to the Gales office team; Lorena, Mari and Shelby are awesome. They respond to emails and phone calls immediately and are always very professional.
