Great service, fixed my issues in less than an hour!

I called the number for David not knowing I would get him direct, this was on a Sunday. He called back within 15 minutes. We had to replace the main panel for my house. He showed up Monday morning on schedule and we were done by 5. If you have an electric range and an electric dryer and you also have four kids like me power is important! Super professional. Very clean. I wouldn't just recommend his work I have already requested additional work.

Fast, quality work at a fair price! Excellent overall! Fixed two open hot outlets after asking a few questions and running a few diagnostic tests and consulted on a few bigger projects around the house. We'll be working with them in the future for sure!

Professional, great communication and CLEAN! David installed a sub panel, outlets, switches, lights and a ceiling fan. He was very mindful of our needs working from home with kids (the dust and noise etc,) and was super friendly!

David helped me out twice now and has always provided excellent service. Most recently, I called him first thing in the morning regarding some light fixtures that were broken, and he was able to deduce the situation, propose the solution at a reasonable price, and address the issue all within the same day. David Zeng is easily the best electrician I have ever worked with. His excellence at his craft is matched only by the courtesy and respect with which he treats his customers. He is meticulous in his work and extremely clean. He did a major rewiring for us and along the way installed a number of new LED lights, two bathroom fans, and new outlets. When he needed to cut a channel or patch he did so quite cleanly so they are relatively easy to replace, with a minimum of dust. He is outstanding at diagnosing the problem as well as coming up with the solutions, and involved me in decision-making which helped me in turn learn a lot. David is punctual, works extremely hard every day, and is always pleasant and cordial. Our family is extremely happy with the results. I really can't say enough about David's work, his character and his integrity.

We had David from Tinpa (Tin is 电 which is Electricity in Cantonese) complete some small jobs in our home. Though he does bigger jobs, we only needed him to replace a couple of outlets and our bathroom vanity lights.

David was very thorough. He spent the extra few minutes to pigtail the wires in our outlet to prevent loose connections. He cleaned up after himself (carrying a big vacuum up our stairs) and explained everything well. He charged a flat fee to show up and an hourly rate afterwards so encouraged us to bundle our small jobs together to save $$. Because he charges hourly, he only gave a rough estimate of time needed but not a firm quote for the job. However, our final bill was less than his rough estimate. He communicates over phone and text which is helpful for sending him photos so everyone knows what to expect. And while we communicated English, my MIL was thrilled that he also spoke Cantonese.

All in all, we are glad to have David as our hometown electrician.

Best electrician I've ever worked with! He's installed an EV charger, an electrical panel, and done other smaller jobs.

He's a very clear communicator, gives honest and accurate bids, and I know he will 100% do the right and safe thing. He's a master at finding studs and his work on installing boxes on a plaster wall was perfect.

Tinpa Electric always does an outstanding job! This was the third time we hired David to install a new lighting fixture. The first was a combo light/fan on vaulted ceiling. The second was a chandelier over a staircase. Last week we replaced a broken chandelier over our dining room table. Each installation had been absolutely perfect. It's such relief to have trusted electrician in whom I have complete confidence. In addition to being a skilled electrician, David is just a lovely person, he communicates clearly, and is patient and responsive. I highly recommend!

David was so wonderful to work with! He did an excellent job, was super responsive, and executed the work perfectly. We even had a sleeping toddler in the next room and he was so thoughtful about the noise and interruption. Would definitely recommend working with him!

I needed an EV charger installed and saw the great reviews for David. However some of the reviews suggested "his prices were high, but worth it." Based on this I went with another electrician based in San Leandro whom was "highly recommended." Long story short. This "highly recommended electrician never showed up and wasted 4 weeks of my time so I gave David a call. To my surprise the estimate I received from David was $600 below the other electrician.

I called David on a Wednesday and sent him pictures detailing my property and the work I wanted. That very same day he sent back plans detailing the work and how it would look along with an estimated cost. Being aware that David has a very busy schedule I was extremely surprised he was able to fit my in on Friday, 2 days after calling him to start the work. With the help of his wife David completed the job the very same day.

Through the whole process from start to finish. David was very thorough in explaining the details of work involved. Unlike some reviews that mention his prices are high. I have to disagree. With David you're getting high quality work at a very reasonable and competitive price.

I had a great experience with Tinpa Electric. David was extremely helpful starting with the first call when he tried to troubleshoot over the phone to save me time. Unfortunately my problem wasn't solved over the phone, but David was able to get me into his schedule the next day. When he arrived he got to the issue right away, solving my problem quickly for a very reasonable price. I will definitely call him again when the need arises.

I’ve benefitted from David’s services four times over the last few years. Each project was bigger in size and risk than the previous, the last being a replacement of the main panel and all the wiring in two-thirds of my house. David knows his trade very well and his work is top grade. He has good working relationships with city inspectors and the linemen who work for the electrical utility. They indicated to me that his work was always properly performed to the highest professional standards. It was easy to communicate with him and he checked in frequently to ensure he was giving me what I wanted. I hope to work with him again in the future.

David will be my go-to electrician from now on! He installed six new outlets in my 1941 duplex and was meticulous and thoughtful from the first visit for an estimate through to the city inspection. He went above and beyond to provide explanations that made sense, provide various options, and make sure the work was done safely (and fix a few things that past electricians had not done so safely). He was even very patient with my barky dog! Highly recommend Tinpa Electric with no reservations!

David was great! He was available the day after I called, showed up on time, and worked with me to discover and explain the causes of the problems I was having. He got my approval for each step and didn't try to sell me unnecessary services. He was most impressive when he acted as a detective and discovered a hidden light switch and repaired 2 broken switches, all while diagnosing a ceiling fixture that no longer worked. He repaired several things that were mis-installed be previous electricians in our old house. Prices were good and he had the needed parts in his van so everything was fixed quickly. He was very good at explaining the possible causes for the symptoms we were seeing. He says he works 99% in Alameda. Highly recommended.
