Tokai electric was on point! Very responsive, right from the first phone call to coming to help me right away. Made sure our spa was disconnected safely and everything was all set. Super highly recommended to anyone needing electrical work!

Jozsef showed up on time and was very friendly. He was very knowledgeable and completed the work I needed done, in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend him for all your electrical needs!

We had to do a complete kitchen remodel due to water damage this past year from all the storms in Southern CA. Jozsef did all the electrical, including replacing our old ceiling lights with recessed lightning. Our kitchen is now bright and modern and he added extra electrical outlets, so we no longer have to figure out where to plug in appliances based on limited availability. He even added some recessed lighting under one of our cabinets that looks stunning. Finally, I have to mention, he patiently walked me through setting up our new Smart Oven (which he installed). Now why you need a Smart Oven is beyond me, but I now know how to use it if need be thanks to Jozsef! Would highly recommend him.

Excellent work, fair prices. Fast and clean work definitely will use in the future.

Jozsef Tokai is an Alpine local and does an outstanding job. He is very fair priced and honest. I had a job that very easily could’ve cost a lot of money but he found the simplest and cheapest solution to my problem saving me a lot of money. Jozsef will be my go to electrician moving forward.

I can't give enough praise for Jozsef. I normally don't write reviews but had to take time to express how great of a job Tokai Electric did. Communication was great, confirmed before he came, he was prompt, did exactly what we needed, and cleaned everything before he left.

Jozsef did an amazing job helping us fix our outlet. He was extremely responsive, efficient and professional. We appreciate his service so much. We will be keeping his information handy for the next electrical problem we have. Would recommend to friends and neighbors.

Thank you again, Jozsef!

Josef did an outstanding job with our subpanel and panel upgrade. The work was complicated given the age of our house and other factors, but it was no trouble for Josef and team, who were thorough and demonstrated commitment to quality throughout. Thanks Josef!

Jozsef has some of the best craftsmanship's Ive seen. His work is extremely Clean and well planned. He is very knowledgeable in his work, which really helped me to actually understand what is going to happen in the process. I recommend Tokai Electric. Your work will always be done right.

Jozsef has been out twice to do jobs for me. First time was to correct a mess some incompetents left. Cleared it up quickly and I have been happy since. Had him out again today to do more extensive electrical work: outside floods front and back relocated and replaced; also in the ex garage removed some neons and replaced with regular lights that are dimable and color/tone adjustable. This was major because of the old neon removal, with the help of Tyler they managed to complete the job quickly and very economically in my opinion.

Very nice, courteous and clean young man responded quickly, assessed the work I needed, quickly had a quote in writing and work was completed in a timely manner. Jozsef was skilled as an electrician, worked quickly and did not leave a mess. I really appreciate his hard work ethic and will definitely used him again. Highly recommend!

Tokai Electric did some nice work on my home wiring up a powered attic vent, a CATV line repair and several other tasks. All in one day, on time, on budget. I'll definitely call Jozsef again for any electrical work.

I have worked with Jozsef on a few jobs in Del Mar ranging from a minor projects (e.g., light installations) to major projects (e.g., a service upgrade to 400 AMPs). Our service upgrade job required considerable coordination between the city of Del Mar, SDGE, and our contractor. Jozsef did a great job coordinating everyone involved. I have also have Jozsef do various smaller projects to replace rusted sub-panels around the property, wiring and lighting in our ADU, installing lighting in our garage, and even identifying electrical issues with our pool cover. Additionally, he has shown up a few times on weekends to ensure the electrical work does not hold up bigger projects. In every situation, he has been thoughtful, efficient, and resourceful in handling and executing projects.

Jozsef completely rewired/updated my 1964 house to be up to code. He replaced all wiring throughout the house, installed hard wired smoke detectors, installed an outdoor chandelier, and installed new cable wiring.

I hired Jozsef to handle all the electrical work for a multi-unit renovation project, and he exceeded every expectation. The scope included upgrading the main panel, installing multiple sub-panels, complete rewiring of kitchens and bathrooms, hardwiring smoke alarms, and installing both interior and exterior lighting.

Jozsef managed every aspect of the job—from permit applications and coordination with the SDG&E planning department to rough electrical and final finishes—with confidence, efficiency, and exceptional quality. He has a strong understanding of building codes, and his work reflects that—everything passed inspection without issue.

He’s dependable, keeps his word, and consistently goes the extra mile to accommodate schedule changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Over the 9 months he worked on my project, the quality of his work remained consistently high. On top of all that, he is friendly and communicates well.

Jozsef is now my go-to electrician, and I highly recommend him for any residential electrical project!

I completely gutted a house and needed electrical work. The electrical work was top tier and everything works great. Components were recommended that matched the latest trends. Switches, motion sensors, timers, dimmers, etc. were installed and works great. My electrical box was also upgraded in amperage to support electric vehicle charging. LED lights were installed and everything is very efficient. I would definitely recommend Tokei Electric. They can do it all.
