This is a first rate operation. The team knows trees and they are very conscious of esthetics when planning the pruning. We had four large trees done and they look great! We have used them before and will use them again.

California Tree Design does an excellent job of trimming our trees and keeping them healthy and natural looking (no topping). They are not inexpensive, however.

The crew did a great job. They cleaned up after the pruning and shaping was done, and in record time. Three large trees, one pigmy palm removal, and a smaller tree to thin out. My neighbor also wanted several trees and large hedges pruned. All done in one day

I have used California Tree Design multiple times for tree trimming, treatment and removal. Chris, Jorge and their crew are first class. Always a professional job. They treatment my property as if it were their own. I appreciate the excellent work and personal care.

September 10, 2025 …. No issue on job. Big issue is I requested written invoice 4x & have yet to receive. I paid in full day of job without my invoice & check deposited immediately. Invoice for insurance company. Zero responses is very unprofessional.

September 25, 2025 - Peter resolved invoice issue. I had to completely set back neighbors overhanging tree & had California Tree Design return to do job. They were extremely responsive & provided invoice day of job & job was outstanding. Our homeowners insurance was reinstated as a result of California Tree Designs timely & stellar job.

Peter came by and notice that my large and oak tree was not looking great.
He said it was a fungus and would get worse if I didn’t do anything.
Which I appreciate but I did feel pressured to tear it because his crew was in the neighborhood. I didn’t get to price shop because it cost 500.00 which is really expensive.

Jared is great, absolutely professional, explains everything and very nice. The crew that came to prune the fruit trees was excellent, professional, fast, removed all branches and debris and left the yard cleaner than when they arrived. Highly recommend.

It is a rarity to find a company with employees that are accountable professional efficient and knowledgeable. We had a fairly sizable liquid amber and CA oak to be trimmed. Workers were prompt and very tidy and respectful of property and called some issues to our attention that we would otherwise not appreciate needed to be addressed. I would have no reservations in requesting their services again and would highly recommend.

They were timely and non-invasive around neighbors needing to maneuver in and out of our shared drive. 2 tall pines needed pruning and I saw the difference right away after the first was done. Very lovely!

I have a very old scrub oak that I am trying to save. The woodpeckers have been after it and this tree I have known my whole 76 year life. So,
I had Peter look at it. He has treated it and pruned it and I am keeping my fingers crossed. The arborist did a great job. We will know in springtime.

I wanted a consultation with a licensed arborist. I found him! Chris was able to come within an hour of initially talking to him, to look at my very large sycamore that was leaning over the house. I was concerned because I knew the Santa Ana winds would be starting soon. He was very knowledgeable, explaining its root system, and continuing to check for any issues that might show trouble spots that the roots may be causing. He then looked at the tree's general health, noticing holes from boring insects, and that it was holding too much moisture due to plants that had been planted at the base. Chris gave me his recommendations, and confirmed that the team would not butcher my tree.

There was a crew available within an hour of accepting his estimate. Communication was obvious, between the arborist and the crew. They knew what they were doing...and my tree was beautiful. I can't say enough about how happy I am, from Chris to the crew. Thank you California Tree Design!

Peter was quick to respond and very helpful. Trimmed our 2 young citrus trees and 4 very large eucalyptus trees. They were efficient and cleaned everything up and hauled it all away. Trees look great.
