Ever hear the oft-used phrase, " No one's perfect"? Well, count that as a myth now. Following much research, and several bids, ( AND one scorching summer/fall with electric bills soaring into the $500's even with thermostat at 80), we settled with the company who not only used aerial google photos, but "old school style", actually put a guy on the roof to check the way the sun hit the roof in consideration of our giant shade trees; human sundial fashion; Ricky reset the " typical" position to an array that would bring the best benefit specific for our site. Ricky also advised not over buying panels and his calculations have proven near exact. (This guy's good!) We had a bit extra produced energy, received a small check from Edison, so easily added a Tesla. Still covered. Yep, Barnes Solar sent the best, most professional squad to install the new system, electric panel, as well as the most recent addition, a Tesla charger much thanks to Jose who set that up, with exceptional skill, cleanup and professionalism. Jake, was great to work with, in keeping us on the schedule. This company IS perfect! You can take THAT to the bank.... unless you haven't gotten your solar from Barnes Solar that is!”

8 Years ago we had Barnes Solar install a solar system on our house. We used our south and west facing roofs so that we would have optimum coverage. 8 years later, we couldn’t be happier. The design was specific to our house, not cookie cutter and the quality of the installation blends very well into our house. When we buy another house, we wouldn’t hesitate to call them out again. Its nice not to have an electricity bill, especially living in the Inland Empire.

Barnes Solar installed a system for me about 8 years ago. Ricky Barnes was a pleasure to work with. They did a very professional job and kept the workplace immaculate. the system is working well 8 years later and has now paid for itself in utility savings alone. I had a small problem recently with my in home monitoring system. Mike at Barnes Solar took charge. He sent out a technician immediately. Problem quickly fixed, and I remain a very satisfied customer.

The guys at Barnes Solar are professional, friendly, and efficient. We love our solar panels! It's so worth it as we save so much money on our electric bill. It's nice to know that they are installed properly and are available if we ever have a problem (which we haven't in over 2 years).

I got proposals from five different solar installers. Not only did Barnes have the best pricing, but they were the easiest to work with. Mike worked with me over email, quickly submitting proposals and trade-offs for the different scenarios I was considering. He did not pressure me to meet face to face, but said he'd be happy to meet if and when I was ready. The plans were very comprehensive and we had no problems with either the city or my association. The install took about 4 days. The only minor issue was some minor workmanship issues, which were quickly resolved without any hassle. The system has been up and running now for over 2 months and I'm thrilled.

Had the pleasure of being referred to Barnes Solar through a friend who also used them for installation of solar panels. From the beginning, Jake was informative, professional and extremely knowledgeable about their product and how solar would work for our family. Given the high pressure sales tactics from Tesla, this was a welcomed change. It took us some time to decide but Jake was very patient through the whole process. The crew and engineers were also professional, took their time, and cleaned up after the install. I couldn't be happier with Barnes from start to finish.

I spent several weeks meeting with different solar installation companies before choosing Barnes Solar, and I am very glad with my decision. I wasted weeks of effort trying to work with large companies like Baker Electric, to get the system dialed in to my needs, and fix the roof according to my requirements. Nobody even came close to providing the direct customer support like Barnes did. Working with Mike Lemaire was a pleasure, my questions were answered immediately, his responses were always quick, and he was always willing to accommodate my needs as a customer. Once I made the decision and I received approval from the city for the project, the roof work was completed, and soon thereafter the panels were installed and my electrical system expanded. I passed all the necessary inspections, and was able to power my system up without a hitch. Bottom line, if you go with Barnes, you won't go wrong. These guys outperform and outbid the bigger companies, so don't be afraid to enjoy the experience they will provide. 6 stars out of 5, in my opinion.

We enthusiastically recommend Barnes Solar. Mike Lemaire was highly professional, always personable and had an excellent command of the various aspects of our solar system and financing terms. After comparing systems, cost, financing terms and overall service with other well known companies, our choice in working with Barnes Solar became very clear.

The entire process from initially contacting Barnes Solar to completion of the project was about 2 months. Mike Lemaire was very attentive and efficient regarding all aspects. He welcomed our numerous inquiries and he was always on point and informative in reply. The engineers and installation crew did a fantastic job installing the solar system and completing custom finishing touches, including painting. We are very pleased with the performance and look of our residential, 22-panel, 6.6 kWp system and we enjoy tracking power production via the app on our phones!

Our first time Solar experience was excellent. Our sales contact (Mike Lemaire) was professional and helped throughout with the entire process. The installation crew was great and fixed changes / mistakes quickly. They worked well with the City Inspector who was a bit demanding. I reached out to Barnes Solar to get a quote for my townhome. I ended up speaking with Mike and he was fantastic in reviewing the entire process, pricing, warranty, etc... He provided an initial quote based on a Google Earth view of our roof, then sent out an installer to get an exact measurement of how many panels we could fit and what percentage of our electric bill the solar system would offset.

The pricing was great and Mike worked closely with our HOA as we were going to be the first owners in our community to add solar, so we had to follow / create the CC&Rs to include solar.

Unfortunately, due to the design of our roof and the requirements of panel placements not being allowed to be too close to property lines or roof pitch changes, we were not able to design a system that would offset enough of our electric bill.

Instead of pushing me to still buy the system, Mike was honest and straightforward and agreed that it might not be the best time for us to add solar. As of right now, the panels are I believe 400kw each? ...once they become more efficient, we may be able to generate more power with less panels and pursue this again.

If we end up moving to a place that has a better roof design, we will definitely go back to Barnes Solar to have them build out a system for us!!

We recently worked with Mike at Barnes Solar and were blown away with the customer service we received. He was very thorough and honest, being sure to tell us where any hidden costs might arise, and even giving us advice on steps to take before getting solar panels in order to maximize our long term value. We contacted several other companies for bids on our project and didn't receive nearly the amount of information and friendly treatment we got from Mike, not to mention they had the most fair and reasonable bid of all the companies we contacted. I would highly recommend Barnes Solar (and especially Mike!) if you're in the market for adding panels to your home or business!

We had our solar panels installed in 2015. Everything was working great... until it stopped generating power. Unfortunately, the company that installed our system had gone out of business so there wasn’t anyone we could turn to for a fix that was under our contract warrantee. I called Barnes Solar and they were able to fix our system using the manufacturer’s warrantee. A huge relief!
We weren’t an important big installation for them, just a small job, but they still did a professional and timely job getting us back up and running again. I absolutely appreciate the quick work they did and would highly recommend them as a solar installation company as well as for their technical expertise.

Everyone involved described their services and offerings with great care. The salesperson I interacted with, as well as the installers and supervisors, were all really professional. They were quite thorough in describing the information and options available to me. The technical components of the installations and programs were simple to comprehend. They were patient with me when I didn't understand things. I had no prior expertise with solar panels, but they guided me through the entire process. They met all timelines and delivered on all promises. There were no shocks because they set the proper expectations and informed me both the advantages and negatives without being pushy. They were quite courteous in informing me ahead of time when they were going to undertake work at my house. The installation went without a hitch. The technicians were all quite pleasant. From the beginning to the finish of the installation, working with Barnes Solar was a pleasure. All of my questions were answered to my satisfaction throughout. Barnes Solar comes highly recommended by me. Their service has exceeded my expectations.💯😁👏

I would give Barnes Solar 6 stars or more. Mike Lemaire walked us through the planning and development of our home solar system. He made the application and the project simple and smooth. The customer service continues after you’re sold and they’re always willing to answer questions. We had several other proposals from big name companies and Barnes Solar stood out far and above the others. We got the newest equipment, unlike the other companies and installation was quick and easy. I’m recommending them to all of our neighbors!!

We have used many contractors over the years when we have moved to new homes and recently decided to go solar. We interviewed a half dozen solar companies and decided to use Barnes Solar because they are the easiest to communicate with. They understand solar and they understand what the customer wants. Jake was great at discussing our options and was very quick to let us know what they could do and what we would pay. Once we started the project Jake didn’t disappear as some contractor do when you hire them. He was still our “go to” if we had questions. Barnes Solar handled everything with the city and Edison. We had solar installed within about 6 weeks and were up and running shortly after that.
Jake has continued to be available if I have questions.
If you want the most reliable top end equipment, at the best price,
from someone who knows solar and will be there every step of the way then go with Barnes Solar and Jake will get it done. I just wish the could do our whole remodel.

After evaluating several solar installers, we selected Barnes Solar to equip our home in Coto with solar energy. Mike, Ricky and the install crew were all great to deal with. They set realistic expectations, answered all of our questions (I asked a lot). In the end, they had the best pricing, showed the best knowledge of the industry and technology and got the job done in less than a week (30 panel install). I would highly recommend Barnes Solar to anyone looking for an honest, efficient and effective solar installer.

Noticed that one of my panels stopped working, but unfortunately my original installer had gone out of business. Contacted Barnes Solar and they gladly offered to roll a truck to take a look. Jose quickly found that the panel’s optimizer had gone bad and sent it back to the manufacturer for warranty replacement. Then they came back a week later and installed the new unit. Jake was quick to respond to emails and kept me up to date on status. Price was very reasonable. Great and friendly service and I will definitely work with Barnes Solar again for future repairs and expansions. Customer service as it should be... got to like that!

Barnes Solar installed my system in 2014 and I have been very pleased with the decision ever since. The company was open and honest throughout the process and quoted me at a more competitive cost than some of the other companies I checked out. Barnes came out to my house for the installation just a few weeks later and finished the job quickly and professionally. I don’t have any complaints about the entire process from start to finish and the system is working exactly as I was told it would. I can happily recommend the company and the owner, Ricky, to anyone interested in a similar experience.
