Keith W responded promptly and arrived on time. We had a weird problem with several outlets going dead but no tripped circuit breakers. After checking all the dead outlets and the breaker panel and finding no problems, Keith dove into the crawlspace under this 1950 house and traced the wire leading to the outlets. He found a hidden disconnect box containing a 20-amp cartridge fuse that had blown. He had a spare in his car, replaced the dead fuse, and presto! We had power again. I had no idea this disconnect and fuse box existed and there is no obvious reason why it was installed on this particular circuit and no others. I appreciate Keith's logical thinking and persistence in tracking down the problem. It was good to have this problem fixed in such a short time.
