Electrical reviews in Big Bear Lake, California

Timely and reasonable

John did a lot of work in our cabin and was always very helpful, available and professional. Definitely recommended!

John has done work for me for thirty years, one of the most honest people on this mountain, Always fair, wouldn't want anyone else working on my house

I will not even write this company one star due to the unprofessionalism and in completion of work. Hired this electrician to do a hundred watt panel never grounded never finished and left a mess he's known for not cleaning up! Had to hire another electrician contractor that was most professional and didn't work in a professional And Timely matter reasonable rates. Very reasonable rates at a high-quality workmanship!

Have worked with John for more than 10 years He has worked on 2 properties I owe in Big Bear. John is extremely knowledgeable ,he is licensed and bonded and does excellent work. I’ve lived in the area for many years and I have not had anyone who is more responsible, professional , and who keeps his word both on his quotes and timeliness of completion. I could not recommend anyone more highly.

This was my second time using Frazee Electric. John is always quick to reply and has a can-do approach. Very professional in all his work and I know it is done right. It's nice to have a local electrician I can trust without question. Very satisfied. Highly recommended.

John Frazee has stellar service. He is very professional, licensed and insured. He knows the mountain well and knows what is needed for the weather. He installed our whole home generator, handled it from start to finish. We are very pleased.

I have used Mr. Frazee at least three times and will continue to use him. He is highly competent, honest and fair in his pricing. The most recent work that I had him do was fixing a lighting issue. He could have just picked up something locally that sort of would have matched, but he went through the trouble of shopping when he was down the hill for something that would be perfect and did this without charging me a premium for his time. For anything electrical, he will be the first person I will always call. The only downside is that he is so booked up, that sometimes you have to wait to get an appointment. He will often refer another competent electrician if that is the case; however, for me, it has always been worth the wait.

I have known John Frazee for 29 years. He did the finished electrical on my first home in Big Bear and various projects over the years including a 200 amp service at the last home I occupied in Big Bear. He genuinely enjoys his work and is informative about choices he offers to the home owner. His business has thrived in the valley due to his great work ethic, responsiveness and professionalism. I always recommend John!

Needed a reliable electrician and got that in spades with John Frazee. He confirmed all appointments and let us know promptly if something had to slip. Even then, he did all he could to stick to his original appointment time.
Furthermore, he fixed everything we asked him to. No callbacks! And he didn't try to upsell us. We really appreciate his professionalism. We highly recommend.

We had a rather complicated electrical issue that required rewiring of an old Forest service cabin. John took over after another electrician had failed and handled the entire project with professionalism and thoroughness He was able to interact with another contractor who is doing work at the same time to work together to allow better placement of wires. Additionally, he made several excellent recommendations that we hadn’t thought of, and gave us a very competitive prices to accomplish more add-ons. We enjoyed having him accomplish this work for us on our cabin, and I’m sure we, and others, will use him in our section of the forest. Highly recommended!

This is an outstanding company! They helped us the same day we had an issue. Excellent service! Genuinely kind professionals.

Finding reliable and communicative tradesmen in Big Bear can be a challenge. John with Frazee Electric is both a fantastic electrician, and communicates very well. I’m glad we found him and won’t hesitate to use his services again. Thanks John

I highly recommend John Frazee of Frazee Electric. I've worked with trades for most of my adult life maintaining rental properties, and John stands out. He installed a 200-amp service for my home in Big Bear Lake and handled everything seamlessly, including coordination with Bear Valley Electric and the City of Big Bear Lake Building Department—even navigating surprise safety grid shutdowns.

What really impressed me was his advocacy: when the utility wanted to place the new panel in front (which would’ve hurt the home’s look), John convinced them to keep it at the back. He also replaced outdated hanging lights with LED fixtures that opened up the space, and even suggested a copper trim paint to match the wood ceilings—attention to detail you rarely see in contractors.

Yes, he's in high demand and books up fast, but he's worth the wait. Honest, thoughtful, and deeply experienced. I’m eager to work with him again.
