Constraction reviews in Blue Jay, California

Copp Roofing installed a high quality roof with an excellent guarantee. Their staff were wonderful to work with. Their installers were professional, on time, and did a great job. They also installed four skylights that are made for the heavy snow loads that mountain roofs must withstand. The installers framed the skylights beautifully (see photo). The skylights have transformed my kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. My rooms are full of light and I look up and see bright blue sky and soaring pine trees. I highly recommend this company! UPDATE: We just had a weekend of rain, freezing rain, and then a foot of snow and the roof and skylights didn't leak.

Copp roofing is among the top 10 of friendly and professional people on the mountain.

In November 2023, my husband gathered three quotes to re-roof his house in Crestline. Copp Roofing gave the best value for the money. They did a wonderful job on his roof and took no shortcuts! They tore down the old roof shingles all the way down to the bare plywood.

The new roof was done in three days, and they even worked on Thanksgiving Day!

Another house we have in Crestline Was in need of a new roof also. There was no question about who we were gonna call! Copp roofing does it all!

We recently had our roof replaced by Copp, and they did an excellent job. We have had some previous work (drywall, mineral wool insulation, siding, flashing, and minor electrical/plumbing) performed by Copp, and they did an excellent job on that project. We worked with Connor Keith from Copp for our roof replacement (as well as addition of solar panels with batteries), and he is excellent!

As a side note, regarding the previous work, Copp's drywall and siding guys are also excellent. The new drywall looks amazing. Even though I know where all of the drywall seams are, the transition is completely invisible. We have knockdown texture with semi-gloss paint, and there is no evidence of replacement (other than the texture of the new drywall is much more uniform and doesn't have the odd splotch the original drywall has). The siding and trim installation was also flawless.

We opted for the GAF Grand Sequoia Reflective Shingles (cool roof) in Forest Brown and metal valleys with the additional rigid insulation option (2 inches of additional rigid insulation between original sheathing and new sheathing installed by Copp). The roof/shingles look amazing! The shingle shape/design and color make our house look much more grand and regal. I really cannot express how much better the new roof looks!

The installation was very fast as it only took a week to completely remove the old roof, install the new insulation/framing/sheathing, and install the new roof. The installation crew was very professional and friendly, and I loved how proud they were of their work. Luis Andrade (foreman of the roofing crew) takes pride in his work, and it definitely shows. He was very enthusiastic about how nice the new roof is, and it is really nice to see someone who has so much pride in their work (and the new roof does look phenomenal). I have looked over every inch of the roof from windows and binoculars, and bit of the roof is perfect from the flashing/drip edge to the peaks. Our roof has some odd slopes and flashing regions, and these were all done to perfection with the new roof (including accounting for the new roof height given the new insulation).

So far, the roof has exceeded expectations. Our house is near a peak with shorter trees and gets more sun than many other homes in Lake Arrowhead, and so it does tend to get warmer in the summer than many other homes. The top two floors also have large cathedral ceilings with large windows, and so our house usually runs warm in the main living areas. We have already noticed a decrease in how often our air conditioner compressor runs (even with the most recent heat wave) and how much cooler the house stays during the day. I expect similar winter results given the additional insulation, but I'll try to update this review after we have some winter experience as well.

We are having decks replaced next year with aluminum decks (one simple deck and one three stories with an enclosed room on the bottom floor), and we are having Copp do this work as they have done such great work on other parts of our house.

Our next door neighbors had their roof replaced by Copp, and they also have nothing but great things to say about Copp and their work.

Our experience from the original request for a quote to meeting the team and watching the install process to final payment was executed with extraordinary care to meet our needs as a delighted customer. The team communicated well and often to us through the whole process, including guiding us through and signing the contract with 100% transparency. The COPP team ensured our property was left clean and picked up of any left over debris and materials once the entire construction process was completed. The COPP team arrived with all their tools and material on time and completed the project early. The COPP CONSTRUCTION team were always willing to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend using COPP CONSTRUCTION for all your roofing needs.

I had a great experience with Copp Roofing! Connor Keith is the man! Some shingles had come loose and I needed it taken care of asap. Connor was great and got me in before a storm hit. Can be difficult to get work done in local CA mountains especially for part timers who do not live up there. Roof leaks happened while we happened to be there . We could not stay and entire job was done via phone and email with Copp. First… they ALWAYS answer phone ( TY Joanie). Several other roofers never called back. We had clear points of contacts for all inquiries but we were assigned Nick Maltas as our project manager. Everything we asked of Nick, he did. We wanted step by step pics and got them, progress updates and immediately the signed county inspection report.

Decided we should try to get a new roof installed before the winter season. Copp roofing within two weeks of calling provided the estimate, secured the product and installed our new roof. Very please with how everything came together so well. Very Professional team, job well done. Thank You!!!!

The roof installation you did on my mom’s house in Huntington Beach was amazing! You were on time, and very professional. I highly recommend you!

Ethan Power was terrific to work with. He gave us accurate information from the beginning and stood by his word. The roofing was done very professionally and has a great warranty. It was done right and completed on time as promised. It came out beautiful! I highly recommend Copp Roofing and especially Ethan as the sales rep to work with!

Copp Roofing & Construction did a fantastic job replacing my roof with a new GAF asphalt shingle 50-year system in San Diego. Connor was great to work with and made the whole experience much easier than anticipated. Thank you!!! Cant recommend enough.

I have so many great things to say about Copp Roofing and the crew who came out to do the work. I don’t know where to start, but what I will say is that this project was done in 24 hours. The house looks so much better. That wood shake siding was 50 years old. Nick Maltas, Barbie, and Ethan were such a pleasure to work with. Luis Andrade and his crew did an amazing job. The workmanship couldn’t get any better. They did an amazing job of cleaning up as well. I highly recommend this company for your roofing needs! Give them ALL THE DAMN STARS! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Five stars, Five Diamonds!💎 💎💎💎💎

From start to finish, reroofing our cabin was a quick and easy process with Copp Roofing and Construction. The roofers worked two full days and were able to finish on time. The yard was left clean and they were a pleasure to interact with; open to any questions or concerns. I feel like I can trust the roof to hold up to our winter challenges and would definitely recommend them as a local business.

I used Copp Roofing to install a roof on my cabin in Crestline & they were excellent. In the past we had used “handy men” to do the roof who just put one layer after another which never held up especially with the bad weather on the mountains. The cabin is on a cliff where there is a lot of bad weather elements (wind, rain, snow). We finally decided we needed something stronger than the layers the handy men put on so we used Copp Roofing. We are extremely pleased with the results and would highly recommend them. They do a quality job. When you are having someone work on your roof you definitely want a legitimate company that carries worker’s compensation & are licensed. Copp Roofing has professional staff that know what they are doing and are honest. I also use them for a roof tune up as needed so they can maintain the excellent job they did. Very good group of people. Definitely would recommend using this business.

Installed a roof on our cabin about 20 years ago. Started having a leak several years ago and has gotten worse so have made so many calls to them I can't keep track. Puddle in bedroom about one foot in diameter in the middle of the floor. Responsive? Not Maybe a return call once every three or four phone message left for them. Even paid to have them "service" and inspect the roof, seal vents, etc. about two months ago. Still roof leaked. Hired a repair person to repair roof. Did not trust Copp Roofing at this point. Repair person discovered no underlayment was put around one skylight near where the leak was but in an adjoining room today. Only some metal flashing that did not keep water out. Then repair person found again today (after Copp maintenance was done) they did nothing around the chimney. Copp did not do what they were paid to do. He found a hole in the roof under a metal piece next to the chimney. Leak for sure. Repair person repaired it. Would not recommend Copp Roofing for the long haul. Looks nice when installed. But then the service ends. Expensive and still had a leak although after paying another roofing company $1000 I think our leak is fixed. No thanks to Copp Roofing. And not proper maintenance they were paid for. UGH!

COPP Construction is nothing short of AMAZING!!! We felt like family from the very first interaction with the employees. We recently had three decks rebuilt on our home in Blue Jay, Lake Arrowhead, CA after they had collapsed in the 2023 snow storm. Two of the decks were multi-story high with construction on a steep slope on the backside of the house. The project crew was extremely friendly, professional, and experienced offering ideas for modifying original plans that made more sense for the reconstruction. The COPP construction manager and crew were in regular communication with us and the project engineer from the beginning to the completion of the project. The decks were started and completed in the time frame that was projected on the contract. We couldn't be happier with COPP Construction and everything that went into working with EVERY single one of their employees (and the owner). Thank you so much, COPP Construction! We appreciate you ALL and would recommend your company 100% to anyone that needs any large or small job completed. We will be contacting you again soon to complete a roofing project. THANK YOU, COPP!!! You truly helped make this rebuild so easy on us after what started from a devastating event of our decks collapsing.

We had an excellent experience with Copp Roofing from start to finish. Connor was our project manager and main point of contact, and he was extremely responsive, professional, and easy to work with throughout the entire process.

We did a full roof tear-off and replacement, including a thermal barrier, and the crew that came out was fantastic. They were on time every day, very respectful of our property, finished within the estimated time frame, and left no mess behind!

Before choosing Copp, we got three estimates, and Copp Roofing stood out as both the most reasonably priced and the most professional. They also lived up to their great reviews. There were no high-pressure sales tactics, no pushiness…just clear communication and straightforward answers to all of our questions.

We couldn’t be happier with the final result and would absolutely recommend Copp Roofing to anyone looking for a reliable, professional roofing company.

Copp Roofing did a fantastic job on my roof replacement! I had interviewed numerous companies and roofers over a few years but only Copp gave me the peace of mind (A+ BBB rating, insured, bonded, Contractor’s License, photos of completed jobs) I was after. I regularly spoke with Connor about the job, who answered all my questions and concerns and sent over several proposals while I decided on the best option. My house had 3 layers of shingle going back to 1941 that needed to be demoed (meant adding the additional slats, plywood, moisture barrier, drip edge flashing, any vents, HVAC flashing sealant etc.) so it was a big re-roof. But they nailed it (no pun intended)! Connor always responds and always answers any questions right away. They even removed and re-attached my gutters and cleaned them! I decided on GAF Hickory and love the color! Super professional, beautiful results, highly recommended!
