Reviews of local pros in Buellton, California

TCT Landscaping helped us install our patio, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We shared a photo of the look we were hoping for, and they brought the vision to life perfectly. They created a beautiful pattern layout and paid attention to every detail throughout the process. The final result turned out even better than we imagined. Highly recommend!

Terry and his crew where a pleasure working with! 10/10 would recommend

What a beautiful job! I am very pleased. Terry makes everything run very smoothly and stress free. Thank you!!

Amazing job on landscaping. Work was completed on time and in budget. Work was done in a very professional manner. Always available and answered all questions during and after the project was completed.. Would recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful remodeled yard ..

Why is TCT landscaping sending me Jehovah witness pamphlets?

Very responsive friendly and competent contractor. Started work before we expected and installed a wonderful 6 ft cedar wood fence. Three rails and completely done with screws. Beautiful flag stone walkway and patio. Artistically landscaped with complete drip irrigation system. A pleasure to do business with having our full confidence in their ability.

Terry tackled my exterior landscaping with a stellar crew and at a very reasonable price. Want him to come back for the next phase. I love the flagstone that he has graced our yard with. Would recommend him nine times out of nine.

TCT Landscaping has landscaped my front yard and my backyard and I live on an acre, so that’s a lot of landscaping! Terry is a visionary and by that I mean you can explain in general terms what you want and he picks up from there and makes your yard the yard of your dreams. The trees he planted are thriving and the bushes are growing and if something happens and something dies, he will replace it. He even built me a treehouse! The treehouse is so beautiful and my grandchildren love it and spend hours out there playing in it and they even sleep out there! Their rock work and Flagstone work is impeccable. My yards look like a park. If I had any yard left I would reuse them in a minute Terri and his crew are very responsive to your needs and dreams. I can’t say enough good things about them, I am so happy with what they have done to my yard. They transformed weed and gopher patches into a beautiful yard.

If you value your money and time at all, do not hire Terry and TCT Landscaping. At first all is well. He comes out to the house discusses the plan and makes you feel all warm and fuzzy about working together on the project. But then you give him money to secure you spot, and that's where it all goes down hill.

There is no oversight, actual work takes 5 times longer than it should, so many excuses and the work is done poorly. Actually, that's not 100% true. His crew is fairly good at stone work. But that really is where it stops. We have spent so much money having to repair the work he did - replacement plants because gopher cages weren't used, replacement plants because the drop system was done wrong, replacement plants because they were planted incorrectly (too low, not enough dirt, etc). Issues with wiring for our lighting. Issues with drainage. The list goes on and on.

We hired him twice, I guess the joke is on me. So if I can spare anyone else the wasted money and time, I hope this helps.

Terry and his crew were very professional, reliable and honest. They created a rock wall planter, walkways and a beautiful water wise garden composed of native plants. I have enjoyed it now for about a year. My neighbors love it almost as much as I do.

Terry and his crew relandscaped our property where nothing had been touched for 40 years. The outcome was remarkable. In addition to his stonework that replaced outdated and crumbling retaining walls, his team added two massive pergolas, new sprinkler and drip systems, new lawns, and new relandscaped beds. Out of many scores of new plants, only two have required replacement. Our property has more ground squirrels, gophers, and weasels than I ever thought possible (even the hawks can’t keep up), and yet our new lawns and beds look pristine.
We have relandscaped several properties before this one, and Terry stands out as not only a terrific contractor, but a bargain in out opinion.

TCT does a wonderful job with the pavers and flagstone. We had a large section of sod put in which is beautiful. They also incorporated some of the flagstone around the tree which was a great accent. We did have a few issues, but once brought to Terry’s attention, they were corrected immediately.

Terry has been fantastic project manager to work with. We had them install two amazing Arizona flagstone patios at the top of the property on a steep slope. Very very pleased with the results!! We have opened up a new part of the living experience with stunning views from our very own park: “La Cima @ Calor Drive”

The work also included more than 30 flagstone stairs up to the top, each anchored in and connected to a beautiful wood bridge that crosses a large drainage ditch. We took an unaccessible area and made it spectacular!!

Thank you for the excellent service 🤙✌️

Excellent landscape designing and beautiful work! Terry, the owner, has awesome experience in design and workmanship. Terry is really great at creating a vision for the work you need done. Beautiful landscaping and design ideas! His team does great work and follow thru.

TCT Landscaping did a wonderful job transforming our very dated and plain backyard into something very contemporary, stylish, and something we are now excited and proud to share with friends and family. Old railroad ties were replaced with river rock walls that curve and flow to soften the landscape and flagstone replaced old concrete patios and walk ways. They added a fire pit area on an elevated spot in the backyard that can accommodate six Adirondack chairs which is built on flagstone and lined with river rock. They also added grass with with irrigation and gopher wire and poured two earth-tone tinted concrete patios for a couple of utility areas in the backyard. The crew is professional, skilled, courteous, and very conscientious. Terry is great to work with and brings a lot of design ideas to the discussion. I highly recommend TCT Landscaping.

Terry and his crew were really great to work with. The built a retaining wall and graded our property to give us more useable space. Terry was at the job site consistently ensuring the work was getting done right and his communication was amazing. I look forward to using TCT landscaping again in the future. Thank you

TCT Landscaping recently transformed our backyard into a beautiful, functional outdoor space. Their use of hard scapes and native plants really brought our backyard together. Terry has a great eye for design and his team is professional and skilled.

As a Landscape Designer for more than 20 years, I know the attributes of an excellent contractor. I knew within just a few minutes that Terry Tempus was an artist who understood our vision. Terry also, even more so, contributed his thoughts and ideas and improved upon our vision.

We have referred Terry/TLC to all of our neighbors. Many have used him as we live in a new home development.

The specific things that Terry did for us are:

Gave us 6 additional feet to the depth of our backyard by cutting into the builder slope and building a dry stack, native rock wall.

Installed a beautiful flagstone patio and pathways

Poured the slab for our hot tub to specifications

Planted all of our first phase planting in our backyard and replaced builder plants in front yard

Installed 500+ sf of turf in backyard

Installed all irrigation

Built a fence and side yard dog run with gravel as a base

Our future plans include:

A water feature
A large Pergola
Flagstone steps and boulders around spa
Large boulders as accents in front yard

Terry and his crew are exceptional and we recommend them without reservation.

Terry is very knowledgeable and had some fantastic suggestions for landscaping my very overgrown yard. My first request of Terry was to do turf on the north facing side of my house which is always in shadow and just looked awful. His crew, headed by Omar, did the work and improved on what I'd asked for. They were so good I went back a second and third time to have more work done. My back yard now is a beautiful and peaceful space and the dogs love the turf! Thank you Terry and Omar :)

TcT did an amazing job on our backyard. It went from essentially a dirt pit with pavers to a gorgeous yard for entertaining. They designed a gorgeous low water landscape with a pizza oven, cornhole pit, a pergola for our jacuzzi, fire pit, spots for socializing, and a new fence. Everyone was nice and professional and they kept us informed throughout the entire process. We can’t say enough about Terry and how happy we are with his final product. Thank you!

We had Terry and his crew redo our back yard. They turned it into a great show place. Very happy with the beautiful results. They created a stunning waterfall, a great stone place to raise flowers with walkways to reach all necessary areas of our yard. It also included a stone, boulder and pebble run off creek to guide overflow of water out to the street. And to accent it all lights were installed to display the boulders, the waterfall and beautiful plants. Thanks to TCT for a job well done. We definitely would use them again.
