Thamistocles Demetrius Anastasiadis "Tim Sandis", a Stanford University graduate with a Masters in Civil Engineering, founded Sandis & Associates in 1965. Later on it became Sandis, Humber & Associates when John Humber became a partner in 1973. In 1997, after a long and productive career as company founder and President, Tim Sandis retired and Jerome Jones became the firm's President. In 2005 Ken Olcott became President and Jeff Setera became Vice President. Ken and Jeff changed the company name to SANDIS Civil Engineers Surveyors Planners and have grown the company with the acquisition of two subsidiaries and the addition of 165 employees. SANDIS has become one of the largest engineering and highly-ranked surveying firms in California.
