Chris came out to my house to give me a hand with some garden tasks and I was greatly impressed with his knowledge and design sense. He and his crew took care of my tasks efficiently and I look forward to working with Chris on some larger garden projects in the future.

This past February, I received a flyer for a landscape design business in the local area. The next day, I called the owner, Chris Baiata, and we scheduled an appointment to meet at the Gateway Center in Pacific Grove where I work to get an estimate and evaluation for our upcoming patio project.
When I met Chris, he listened to my story and vision for the renovation project that will involve transforming the current old and unsafe space courtyard into a tranquil and visually pleasing area that will be enjoyed by our clients, staff, and community.
My name is Tea Yengst, and I work for a nonprofit in Pacific Grove, CA, called Gateway Center of Monterey that has been in service for more than 60 years serving adults with developmental disabilities. Our everyday goal is to provide the best environment possible for our clients to thrive and grow.
Without a second thought, Chris agreed to help us out and donated his time to create something special for our nonprofit. Within hours, his landscape architect, Liz Koonce, contacted me to schedule an appointment the following day. I found Liz to be a very creative, professional and easy-to-talk individual. She listened closely to our ideas, took notes and measured the entire project area. I was immediately impressed with her efficiency and expertise.
We recently met with Liz to review the new and improved patio design plans. Everyone at Gateway, from the Board of Directors to our daily staff was speechless with the Chris and Liz’s design ideas. They truly exceeded our expectations with an outstanding consideration to garden design and plant selection.
Thanks so much to both Chris and Liz for their time and much appreciated generosity!
