I hired Juan and Salvador and the first day they were great - arrived on time and worked we’ll. There price was fair and reasonable, however after they only finished part of the work, and when they asked for only the money for what they did finish I compromised. The. The second day they came to finish they arrived late and left early “for bids”, then presented a bill for a full days work. You see where this is going.

Long story short, I have an unfinished yard and they are not replying to text or calls.

Use caution with these individuals.

We have had our Olive Trees trimmed by Dale and his crew on 2 occasions now. They do more than just trim, they actually sculpt them into living works of art. Fair priced and fast service-what more could you ask for?

Last year we hired Sweet Smiling Landscapes to design our front yard. We had a dated lawn that we wanted to turn into a more beautiful and sustainable space. We were very happy with how Natasha listened to our wants and needs and developed a plan to meet both. Our front yard now has everything I want, is water efficient and we have bees!

We hired Natasha with Sweet Smiling Landscapes to help us reimagine our backyard. The installation of our new space is just complete and we could not be more happy with the results. Natasha came up with a design that is not only visually interesting but also really practical. I love the way she explained the science and logic behind all the decisions that were made. Our hillside home with very steep slopes presented a significant problem from a landscaping perspective. Sweet Smiling Landscapes was up for the challenge. She not only designed plantings that were low maintenance, but to achieve slope stabilization. She also created a beautiful herb and vegetable garden that is a lovely and useful spot on our property's only flat terrain. And she also selected and potted dozens of gorgeous Talavera pots for our patios and deck that "thrill, fill, and spill", perfectly accenting our home's modern Spanish style. Natasha was a pleasure to work with and we are very pleased with the results!

We are very happy with our new enchanted garden, which includes features such as drought-tolerant, California-native plants; meandering backyard paths for strolling; and a front yard swale (dotted with plants that can thrive in several inches of water), which creates excitement on rainy days as we observe the storm water captured and then slowly filtered into the ground.

Natasha carefully considered each item on our initial wish list, and wherever it made sense, incorporated our wishes into her design; otherwise, she consulted with us regarding her excellent suggestions for better options &/or additions. In addition to Natasha’s professional expertise, she possesses a true artistic eye, so that every functional and decorative element of the landscape, from the large scale down to the smallest detail, is designed to look as aesthetically pleasing as possible. The result is a unified, delightful landscape that is a treat to experience. Our initial vision was totally surpassed!

We were tried of looking at a dead lawn in our front yard, but I was not sure what to do with the space. Natasha is very knowledgable about removing lawns in an environmentally responsible way. Beyond taking out the lawn she came up with a beautiful planting plan. She filled the space with drought tolerant plants and interesting edible plants. When I hang out with my sons while they play basketball in the drive way I love watching neighbors slow down and admire my garden.

I feel so lucky that I found Natasha of Sweet Smiling Landscaping to design my garden for me. I used to import home furnishings from Indonesia. I fell in love with the gardens in Bali. I kept some of the stone statues, lamps, and other garden accessories for myself. Whenever I returned home, and faced my pine-tree-dominated garden, I felt flat and empty. I loved the tropics where everything felt alive. I wanted that Bali feel for myself. Natasha also has a love of the tropics and has traveled extensively to tropical places, so she understood exactly what I wanted.

She explained to me that some of the plants I had so loved in Bali were unable to grow in my Southern California climate, but there were many tropicals which would give the same feeling. She took great care placing each plant according to the light and other considerations. And the real kicker is that my water bill did not go up.

When people come to my house now, they are so impressed. Magical is the word I most often hear. More importantly, when I stroll through the garden, I feel like I am on vacation. Perfect way to begin and end a stressful day. I highly recommend Natasha.

For so long our front yard was a weedy mess, however we were concerned about water use so I was not sure I wanted to take on a big landscaping project. After consulting with Natasha we realized we could have a beautiful garden without the water wastage. To top it off, working with Natasha was so fun too!
