Reviews of local pros in Chico, California

North Valley Tree Service team showed up to trim 5 fruit trees in my back yard. They showed up on time, were very professional and did a great job of reducing the size of my trees, removing all branches and debris, and cleaning up by blowing the yard and the driveway.

Crew did a fantastic job. Arrived right on time, very professional and thorough. Clean was very well done. I’m very pleased. Thank you.

Outstanding service!! Crew removed trees, did stump grinding, removed all debris and left the property looking better than ever. They are SO professional and respectful. I give them highest praise 👏

I have nothing but praise for Crew 1 of NVTS who did a magnificent job pruning my pecan tree this week. The tree looks 100 time better and the crew completely cleaned up all debris. Thanks to all....

Team 1 did a great job today pruning an overgrown deciduous Magnolia. They were very accommodating, letting me point out branches to remove, and then finishing thinning the top of the tree. It looks really good now. Thank you!

North Valley Tree Service does excellent work. Last summer they trimmed several 30 year old oak trees and today they did a major reduction job on our over grown yard shrubs. We continue to use North Valley because they are professional, efficient, courteous and always complete the job with clean up disposal. Truly the best crews.

The company provides very good service from start to finish. Have consistently used them for several decades in Chico . Pricing is fair and the team members are.friendly and professional. I highly recommend North Valley Tree Service.

The crew arrived on time and did a wonderful job of pruning and shaping my redwood tree. The cleanup was thorough. I am very pleased with the service and will call North Valley again.

Our neighbor has worked with them several times in the past and this was our first time working with North Valley Tree Service based on our neighbor's recommendation. The team that showed up walked the property with us to understand everything we wanted. They checked in after each stage to make sure they did everything we wanted and were very easy to work with. We were very happy with their work.

The crew performing the services were very hardworking and respectful. Customer satisfaction was a high priority. North Valley Tree Service is a very professional company.

Darrin and Calvin came out today and worked for my neighbor. This crew was fast, efficient, and thorough. I wanted to hire them on the spot for what I need but couldn't. I took a NVTS card and felt compelled to make a review based on what I saw, today. It's important to support people in this way,as a community. The tree service is sometimes a "word of mouth " industry and their future jobs come from someone feeling like their money is well spent . This is definitely the case today . My neighbor got a service at a great price and I will be looking forward to having my tree needs met in the near future.

Crew 3 did an amazing job removing several trees and trimming the others. Not only were they fast they were very kind and helpful and even helped us put up a quick barricade to keep our dogs away from where they sprayed stump killer. They definitely deserve more tacos for all their hard work! Thanks guys!

I highly recommend North Valley Tree Service! They were completing an extensive tree trimming job at my neighbors home and Calvin and the team were kind enough to answer my questions and address concerns I had about a particular limb on a shared property line. They were very accommodating and knowledgeable about the each of the trees on both properties. I am confident in their work and will be using them in the future!

On 3-12-2026, NVTS came to our property to do needed maintenance on our 60 ft Tupelo tree. They did an amazing job pruning, lightening and shaping the tree. They also did an excellent job of cleaning up the debris. No leftover twigs for us to remove.
Thanks to NVTS and the crew for a great job.

North Valley Tree has been our go to for all of our tree needs. We have had them service big trees and small trees. When we have summer limb drop in our large liquid amber trees they promptly came out and trimmed the almost 100 ft trees back. Additionally they checked the large swings to make sure they were still about to hold the load and checked the bat box for us. When our neighbors tree was at risk of splitting apart, they were able to trim it back to reduce the load but still maintain the shade and the habitats for all of the owls and the other birds that live in that tree rather than having to completely take the tree out. Finally they have taken out some of our dead trees and trimmed back others. Very good communication, easy to pay for services, prompt arrival, we have been very satisfied and can recommend their services. Wouldn't use any other company.

I called them out to do some pruning and weight reduction on several trees around my property. The crew was friendly, efficient, and professional. Everything looked great when completed and they even cleaned up my leaves for me. Their bid was very affordable as well. Will use them again in the future.

North Valley Tree Service is truly an exceptional asset to the Chico community. Their incredible team goes above and beyond—not just in the quality of their work, but in their dedication to supporting local organizations like the Downtown Chico Business Association (DCBA). Their partnership helps ensure our downtown feels festive, warm, and inviting for both community members and visitors.

It’s abundantly clear that they genuinely care about the people and places that make Chico special. If you’re looking to work with good people who consistently show up for their community, I wholeheartedly recommend North Valley Tree Service. Their commitment, professionalism, and heart set them apart.

North Valley Tree has been great for years. It seems as though we are having them out every year or two and had a fairly sizable job again today. They arrive on time, communicate details and clean up after themselves nicely. We'd recommend them to anyone.

Highly recommend. From beginning to end , customer service over the phone, Andy coming out to access the project and the whole crew that did the tree trimming and clean up. A+ job. They were quick and thorough and helpful. Will definitely call again.

North valley tree Service has done my palm trees and other trees around my house twice now and both times have done an excellent job. Crew #3 were the ones out here today from North valley tree Service and I would highly recommend them. They did a good job cleaning up when they were all done as well.

We had a crew from North Valley Tree Service out today to do some annual tree trimming. As usual, the crew was very good and efficient. They picked up all the waste and left the yard looking nice. Reasonable price for an excellent result.
