Reviews of local pros in Clearlake, California

The landscaping for our home that we purchased last year had not been touched in years. We wanted a total re-do of our property and searched for six months for a landscaper who instilled us with confidence. We finally found that person in Curtis Cook and his team. Not only did he present with a very reasonable price for the entire project but he constantly went above and beyond. He was truly a partner, listening to what we hoped to achieve, giving advice when he thought it was necessary and helpful (and we asked for it constantly) and delivering a finished product that he and we can be proud of. He was very patient and accommodating with the changes that we requested as the project proceeded. His team is also doing our regular maintenance effectively. If you're looking for landscaper, look no further than Land Escape and call Curtis immediately.

Curtis and his team at Land Escape did a great job on fixing up the yards of a house I was selling. He offered competitive pricing, was a great communicator, and took care of the work on time. I highly recommend Land Escape!

This summer we had Curtis and his Land Escape crew create a yard from a barren patch of weeds and we couldn't be happier. From the beginning Curtis was very easy to work with. He is very professional, on time and has great communication skills. He repurposed old flagstone that he found on the property to further his design, etching them slightly to add a little "zip". We added garden stairs in 2 locations just prior to him starting the job and he still finished on time. I found his time frame very realistic. I would definitely use his company again and highly recommend him

This is for anyone skeptical about hiring Land Escape. I had a MAJOR retaining wall project that needed to be done but I held off for 2 years because everyone I spoke to was out of my budget or was not trustworthy. Curtis came in with a very competitive estimate and after a lot of research and questions, that he took the time to answer, I decided to hire his company and I AM SOOOOOO GRATEFUL TO HIM AND HIS CREW! They pushed through blazing temperatures and came every week day and completed what to me was an impossible job! All of the crew that showed up, Sam, Arturo, Lowen, Joplin and others, were such hard workers! They showed up on days that got well above 105 degrees and I had coolers of cold drinks to make sure they didn't pass out! So surprised they showed up to do hard labor with days consistently 105-113! They were all very respectful and thoughtful! Including Curtis, who made sure all of our expectations were met!! I could not be more happy with the outcome. I had to take a loan out on the house to make it happen and it was worth every penny! I can't say enough good things about Curtis and the Land Escape team! The before and after pictures speak for themselves!!! This company can be trusted and I am so grateful they service Lake County!!! Thanks SOOO much Land Escape!!!

Reliable and great work ethic. Easy to work with and trustworthy!

It was very placent, working with Mr Ruiz.
He's punctual, reliable, and very professional.
Highly recommend him For his services.

We have been using Ruiz Landscaping for 14 years. They are reliable, knowledgeable and capable. Ruiz provides us with weekly maintenance on our 7 acre property.

After the 2017 Northbay fire Ruiz Landscaping removed burned trees and brush before restoring our property to its pristine condition. We highly recommend Ruiz Landscaping.

We have been working with Edgar and his team for almost 12 years. He is responsive and professional. Edgar has done concrete work, irrigation, vegetation management and other services to maintain our home.

Edgar Ruiz and his landscape crew have done my landscaping for about 10 years now. They are quick to respond to any requests I may have. They have installed flagstone, also drip & sprinkler irrigation systems with timers, topped trees, cleaned gutters, even installed a green house. I recommend them highly.

Edgar is extremely reliable, thorough and knowledgeable. More importantly, he is exceedingly nice and honest. If anything goes wrong he overcompensates. The best landscaper I have ever hired.

We have been using Ruiz Landscaping inc. for 15 years. Edgar Ruiz and his hardworking crew are talented, responsible, honest people of integrity that do everything from basic landscape maintenance to complicated garden planting, hardscape, rock wall building, Fence building, tree planting and limb/tree removal. They have all of the right equipment and are the hardest working crew in Sonoma County.
Edgar is bilingual, english/spanish.

We have used Ruiz landscaping for 15 years and we have had excellent service the entire time. Edgar Ruiz truly is caring about our yard and property and anytime I am thinking that I want him to do something he’s already doing it. He is fluent in English and Spanish and listens, cares, and always solves any issue that come up. His team has put in a sprinkler system on 2 acres of our property, pruned and maintained trees on our property. We recently had a 50 foot oak fall, which was very sad but I was shocked to find out Edgar’s team was here within a few days to remove the tree. They have built rock walls, put in a vegetable garden and orchard, built stairs and fences. We have a large property to maintain, but he has successfully come up with ways to maintain our property while being very cost-effective. He is the most honest person and company and we highly recommend Edgar Ruiz and his team! I am happy to be a reference if anyone needs any questions.

Professional, Prompt, Polite and Precise. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the entire process. We had extensive work done and everyone was very professional and even finished earlier than promised. I would hire them again in a minute!! Excellent.

We have had several landscape/gardener caretakers, but after our last one failed to correct a broken irrigation zone for a month, we took our neighbor’s advice and hired the “nicest young man”-- Edgar Ruiz. Edgar and his crew are hard working, extremely reliable and indeed very nice. Edgar actually cares about plants, and has corrected our irrigation issues, has nursed many dying plants back to life, and identifies issues before they become problems. He is impeccably honest, reliable and diligent. I cannot recommend him more highly.

Highly recommended, fast professional, on time. After the tree trimming process my driveway an yard were cleaned it doesn't look like anyone was even on my property working. Great Job. Very grateful thankyou Ruiz Landscaping. 5 star.

We had Edgar Ruiz install a artificial turf lawn. His company did a fabulous job. We are really enjoying it. He is very professional and timely. Syd D
