Great Job! We are so happy with the work done by Rivas Tree Service. We had several LARGE trees in our yard that were toxic to our dogs, Privet, and we went with Rivas because they were insured and came recommend. They did very thorough and efficient work. They brought in a machine to take the roots out of some very established trees.
We loved the look of the trees but now hoping to replace with beneficial California natives. The team put safety first, and also cleaned up everything nicely!

I have no complaints about the employees or the quality of their tree work, but I do have concerns about the impact of their operations on the surrounding residential neighborhood.

Their property is located directly behind our apartment complex, and they regularly operate a wood chipper that is extraordinarily loud. The noise carries throughout the neighborhood, can be heard clearly inside our apartment, and is disruptive enough to wake my young son from naps. On some days it makes it difficult to relax, work, or even have a conversation indoors. Even our cats become visibly distressed when the chipper is running and will hide even for hours after the noise has stopped.

My personal opinion is that if workers need ear protection to operate the equipment safely, the noise level is probably too high to be running directly next to apartments full of families. When the chipper is running, it feels like everyone within hundreds of feet is subjected to the noise whether they want to be or not.

I understand that tree service companies need specialized equipment to do their jobs. However, this level of industrial noise seems completely out of place in such close proximity to apartments, families, children, pets, and people simply trying to enjoy their homes.

I respect the work they do, but I genuinely do not understand why an operation generating this level of noise is situated in the middle of a residential community.

I have had a great experience with this company. I currently live in Pinole but l owned a home on the Peninsula for about 20 years and used a company called Econotree for tree pruning on several occasions. When I purchased my home in Pinole several months ago, with about three dozen trees on the property, I reached back out to them and found out they had been purchased by Bartlett. Obviously now in contact with a different Arborist and crew being in a different county, but the service and value was equally as impressive. Wesley came to my property, listened to my concerns, shared his knowledge and advice, and provided me with a free quote that included options for conventional as well as organic fertilizer and disease/pest management. I signed up and at the appropriate time, a few months later, Wesley showed up with a crew, on time, to start trimming away. The following day a crew member was back to spray the trees for disease. This was followed with a second treatment for disease, the timing of which had to change as my trees started coming out of winter dormancy many weeks earlier than is normal. Everyone I have met is knowledgeable and passionate about trees and proactive in sharing knowledge and making recommendations. Billing and payment is super easy using their website. Very happy customer looking forward to their ongoing assistance in helping me maintain three dozen healthy trees on my property.

Bartlett is the best. I've been using them for over 12 years. They do great work, they are quick, thorough, careful, and very nice. Seriously, can't say enough about them. Easy 5 stars.

Bartlett Tree Experts did a great job taking care of my birch trees!

I was impressed when the Bartlett truck rolled up to my house right on time; and Ryan Lee’s thoughtful observation and review with his crew before the pruning began.

I thought 8 am might be a bit early for power tools and chipper noise in the neighborhood, but the crew was so quiet as they diligently trimmed with hand saws and pole trimmers.

It wasn’t until about 9:30 when the chipper was turned on to grind the limbs and clean up the yard—a very thoroughly clean up I might add.

Kudos to the Bartlett Tree Experts crew, and thank you for taking such good care of my birch trees.

I look forward to seeing them in full bloom this spring!

Had terrible communication problems with this company.They got some of my emails and not others.Made an appointment online and they never showed up.There are a hundred companies who cut down trees so I wisely chose another company to do my work !!!!

Bidder by name Alberto came out and quoted for a job. After accepting the job the office failed multiple times actually getting someone out to do the job. They never called to schedule. I called them multiple times, and kept getting excuses! They obviously like to waste people's time, and the office staff is challenged by unprofessional staff. Unbelievable!
