Excellent service all around. I originally made an appointment to fix a couple Nest thermostat that Best Buy has incorrectly installed. Afterwards, I added on a laundry list of other work that needed to be done. He showed up on time (early actually) and was able to knock off every item on my list in the one appointment including replacing a circuit breaker as well as a few light switches. All working perfectly now. Thanks!

Dan did a fantastic installation of a NEMA outlet for EV charger for me. Smooth communication, very reasonable quote, punctual on the day, and the job finished in about an hour!

Dan was extremely professional, informed, and reasonable. He installed a Chargepoint charger, hardwired directly to the house power supply. Very clean installation, aesthetically done. He also advised me against upgrading a different circuit to be dedicated 20A with 20A receptacle -- and suggested only upgrading if the other load I had on the circuit grew (e.g. high-power speakers or amps)... he said just to text him if I found it tripping and he'd be right out. He advised an in-line monitor between the dual wine coolers and the plug to notify me by text if it tripped. His detailed knowledge and experience on-the-ground was excellent, and honestly I mistook him for a EE-turned-electrician (which he humbly corrected). Superior contractors in the Bay Area are so hard to find... I feel I now have a superior electrician.

Best home service I’ve seen in a very long time. Dan is super knowledgeable on all things electrical including EV chargers. He was also less than half the price of other quotes I got.

Dan installed an NA 14-50 charger. He was professional on time and installed it. I called Dan for another issue and he took the time to explain the options. His customer service and responsiveness is excellent. I highly recommend Dan.

Over the holidays, my NEMA 14-50 outlet started to smoke while my EV was charging. I stopped charging, switched off the breaker and then proceeded to search for an electrician. I reached out to Dan because of the outstanding recommendations online and his experience assisting customers with EV charger installations and issues.

The recommendations were spot on. Less than a few hours after reaching out, Dan was at my house replacing the outlet. Prior to arriving, he texted his ETA. He came prepared with the correct materials and was extremely efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. Dan also provided excellent insights regarding my current charging set up as well as potential improvements.

Dan and team came and installed an EV charger today (a Tesla charger). I knew from the moment I met Dan that I wanted to hire him and his team - on the initial quote visit, he was incredibly thorough, explained to me all my options without going into too much detail, and gave me great advice that helped shape the final outcome of the project. On installation day, his team was fast, worked SUPER clean, and produced the highlight quality results! I would hire BAM again any day.

Dan was great! I had a last minute electrical issue, he contacted me in a timely manner and got me on his schedule right away! He came earlier than the booking which helped me out tons because I needed to get to work! Got the problem solved while giving me tips and tricks on how things work and how to trouble shoot next time! Would recommend his service!

Dan was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, affordable… I really really appreciated him. He answered dumb questions and gave good advice. He helped me re-route some circuits to my back-up battery, diagnose a problem with a ceiling fan and light (which took longer than either of us anticipated), and install a smart switch for my porch light. He will be my go to for future electrical questions and work. Do not go with anybody else until you at least contact him.

I was looking for an electrician to install a Tesla wall charger so I got a few quotes and decided to use Bay Area Maintenance (BAM) based on their reviews on Yelp.

Dan from BAM was quick to answer my call and I was able to schedule an appointment with no issues. He arrived on time and was able to install my Tesla wall charger in the place that I had requested in a timely manner.

He is very knowledgeable, any questions or concerns I had he was able to answer in detail. His prices are also very reasonable, some other contractors were trying to replace all my electrical boxes which didn’t have to be done. I highly recommend Dan

Dan installed our 240 circuit and 14-50 wall socket for an EV charger. He is simply exceptionally good. First, the obvious: the quality of his work, timeliness, and attention to detail are pretty good. Second, the communication: responsive, forthcoming, informative, without TMI or being pushy. He let us take our sweet time deciding between a wall charger or wall plug for weeks until we followed up. Third, the generosity with knowledge: he advised me on different options, asked questions and walked around to understand our circuit and outlets layout and where we had sub panels to figure out the most efficient route, talked me out of more expensive options that would have meant more business for him, responded to several text follow-ups which included marked up photos, and it turned out he had purchased a used car just like ours a year earlier so he gave me a list of lessons leaned and suggestions about it when I asked, too. Fourth, generosity and flexibility with time, including answering what-if questions after the installation and providing recommendations for what adapters to use with the socket he installed. Finally, quite competitive cost, no attempt to upsell, and just really classy interaction.

We ask for a quote to have 2 outdoor outlets installed. Dan was quick to respond and came the next day to give us an estimate. 2 days later, he installed our plugs. Professional, knowledgeable (gave us pointers for new panel and solar), neat and on time. I highly recommend Dan.
