The staff was friendly and helpful. They installed my solar panels without any major problems. Once they were installed there were issues with connecting to my WiFi but they sent the installer back out to fix the issue. Very responsive and all concerns were addressed in a timely manner.

Please stay away from this company. I seriously doubt the reviews now though it was these reviews which made me select this company. The service is sub par. They did not update me during different stages of the installation.
The worst was when I saw the total amount they charged me for an Qcell 365w 15 panel system with Enphase micro inverters. They charged me way higher then the latest 400 w panels. I regret selecting this company as now I learned that they charged me $7000 more than any other installer. Even after overcharging, I recently found that consumption meters which are normally installed by reputable companies (250-400 typically for a separate install) was not installed and they wanted an additional 600 dollars for the same.
Please do your homework. Get multiple quotes for same model systems from same manufacturer. Don't get cheated by dishonest people!

We had an incredible experience with Sunlight Solar. Their price were the best I could find, the ongoing communication was reassuring and they were able to make everything happen in the time frame agreed on. Which from what I’ve been told by friends who went with other companies, is not always the case.

My parents' solar panels had not produced electricity for several months. Sunlight Solar had them working within an hour of coming to the house. The technician was very kind and we were very pleased with his work.

Got Sunlight solar four years ago. Their service at the time and continued has been top notch. The work was completed in a timely manner and service was connected without issues. In today’s world when there are so many solar companies to choose from, the task can be rather daunting. That is why I highly recommend anyone to check out Sunlight Solar, a local gem here in our San Diego County area. I had the pleasure to work with this company twice now for solar projects and once for a roofing project and I have very positive experience with all these installations.

The owner Jeff Carelli seemed very knowledgeable and rather pleasant to work with, I did not feel being pressured while negotiating the contracts. It also helped that their prices were very competitive. Their Operations Manager Roxanna Rojas did a fantastic job, she stayed on top of the project at all times and kept me fully informed along the way. The rest of the team are all courteous, punctual and professional.

As a result of such a fantastic team, my latest solar project was completed promptly without a single glitch. Actually it was done within a month after the contract was signed, with the only holdup being my HOA’s red tape.

From start to finish, my experience with Sunlight Solar was great. The sales representative was very informative and answered all the questions that I had. They were on time when they showed up for the installation and cleaned after they were done.

Looks great and works great. I knew that I wanted solar, but had no idea from which company. I was aware of a few companies and some bad experiences relayed from others. The sales person was very knowledgeable.I'm glad that I went with Sunlight Solar. They offer a high quality product that is making a huge difference. I just looked at my past bill this morning. The current bill is -$8, last year during this same past month it was $303.

Wish I could give 6 stars. Ricardo was very meticulous and treated my home as if it were his own. He took his time to make sure everything was done properly and no stones were left unturned. Consistently gave updates with work accomplished for the day and what the plan of action was for the next. Very satisfied with their professionalism and hope to work with them again in the future.

We chose Sunlight Solar back in late 2018 after receiving bids from three other companies. Jeff was fantastic to work with and we were happy with the implementation as well. We have been so pleased that our system was sized appropriately! Nearly 4 years later, we have not had an issue and two of the other companies we looked at are no longer in business! Every year when we true up our electric bill we are reminded we made the right choice!

We selected Sunlight Solar to install solar panels on the roof of our home after a thorough evaluation of our energy usage and needs. They were responsive, timely, and efficient; and, installed the solar panels as designed. They also followed up with us to network and link our system into a monitoring and reporting system. Their followup was a great feature. We just had our one year true up with SDGE. We produced slightly more energy than we used for the year resulting in minimum fees and a high rate of return for our investment. We are looking at a power panel solution with them next year if SDGE and the PUC continue their predatory ways.

The professionals at Sunlight Solar are outstanding. They installed solar panels two years ago, and this past January installed a solar battery. These two systems have enabled us to virtually go off grid. We export electricity to the grid during the day even into the SDG&E peak hour period of 4-9 PM, while our battery provides all our household loads. Our exports more than make up for the minimal usage we import from 9 PM to sunrise during the super off-peak period. Bonus is we have backup power in the event of a blackout! They also helped us better understand how best to set up our system, and the app is very helpful. We highly recommend Sunlight Solar for your home.

He was very helpful and took the time to make sure I understood where I am at and heading in the time of Power Company's skyrocketing rates.

They call and check on me regularly, and even have given me great advice about future actions that I can take if and when I decide to purchase an electric car.

The planning process wasn’t as smooth as I’d hope and there was miscommunication between office and install team on the new fire/smoke alarm policy and installation requirements. Once installation was completed, everything else went smoothly. Manny performed the inspection and fixed everything that needed attention and worked with the city seamlessly. The Enphase system and monitoring app couldn’t be easier and I love the realtime rich details so I can adjust my family hourly usage.

During the consultation phase, the company staff patiently answered all my questions. After deciding to work with the company, I opted to install 10 panels. Sunlight completed all the paperwork for solar installment through my HOA and SDGE. The installation process went smoothly, and the workers completed the installation in one morning. The work site was kept very clean. There was a small hiccup because my house had a test meter. The company's staff were very patient and represented me in communicating with SDGE, ultimately completing the entire installation.

Now, after a year of operation, I can monitor the entire system's status and electricity generation through a mobile app. So far, I haven't encountered any operational issues, and my electricity bill has decreased. There might still be some extra expenses in winter due to higher electricity usage, but with the arrival of summer, these expenses will decrease.
