Semper Solaris

David Fontaine was extremely professional and accommodating during the entire technical support process. We valued his patience and expertise in resolving our problem and our request for support. David was very forthcoming in providing information and guidance vital to successful resolution. It was indeed a very pleasant and successful experience. Thank you David and Semper Solaris for the great customer support.

I needed to add to my existing solar system so I reached out to Semper Solaris and Alex Thomson-Corrao gave me a call. Alex reviewed my PG and E usage and my existing solar production ans we discussed several options. With Alex's help I was able to decide on a non export system. We also discussed battery back up that can be added at a later date. On the day of the install the crew from Sempier Solaris called me half an hour before arrival to let me know they are on their way. Once the install crew arrived Nathan went over the system to be installed and what is required for the install. After that they went to work. Nathan noticed that the original system had the wiring run thru the attic and asked if I want the new system run the same way. I said I would prefer that and his crew went to work. Being a former Navy man attention to detail was always said thru my career and Nathan seeing how the old system was wired shows the attention to detail that I would expect from a company with ties to Military service. Next year I will be replacing my HVAC system and Sempier Solaris will be who I call.

Current situation:
- got roof done in 2021
- roof leaking 2025
- called to notify today. Will update with progress. Current review 1-star because it cost a lot to replace my entire roof and having a leak this quickly makes me feel they did a very poor job of it. I’m now stressed wondering if it may have other slow leaks or parts that are not done properly that could put not just my house but other property and family at risk for injury/damage or health risk. I will update this review as I go through the fixing process. 11/15/2025 today.
- 11/18/2025: no call back over weekend through Monday. Is Tuesday and called again and spoke with Shirley. Told the SAME thing as last time. She took a message, no clue on call back time frame, they said they could not estimate the time because all messages go into "queue" and they can't see the queue on their end. Sending email to the email given in reply to see if that gets me anywhere. Will update again with new progress.
- 11/21/2025: I got an email and call after emailing the "priority" email address given in the review. They scheduled for someone to come out and I thought they were going to fix the roof, but they just put a tarp on it and then left. The people who came out did not speak any english, so I couldn't talk to them to get information on what they were doing, a timeline or plan of repair, or even what they were going to do while there. They had to call a supervisor to answer the questions "Where do you need to look?" So, no, they spoke NO ENGLISH at all, which I wouldn't really care, but I had questions and I don't speak spanish. They put a tarp on the roof and left without even telling us they were done or what they had done. I only knew what they had done 2 days later when I had left another message to complain about the first visit and get clarification on what was going on. Someone who identified as a company executive in customer service called me to explain the process and what the next steps were and get that scheduled.
The roof did get repaired, it turns out part of the roof around a vent was not properly sealed during the installation of the roof. They checked all the other vents and told me they all were properly sealed, so this shouldn't happen again.
I've amended the review to 4 stars, which in general I feel is generous with the fact that the roof was not properly done the first time, the repair process was stressful, and you evidently need a special email to get in touch with the right department. If I had to do my roof again, I don't think I'll go with them in the future. Quality was a prime concern when looking for someone to do the roof in the first place. I already was not happy that none of the people who installed my roof spoke english except a single supervisor who would pop in once in a while to see how progress was going. I'm big on communication and I can't communicate if the people doing work for me don't speak English. Everyone prior to the actual work spoke english and that part was great - the sales people do a good job - but after we got going with the work I never saw those people again.
