Constraction reviews in Emeryville, California

This company works in cahoots with Bridgewater Emeryville to screw tenants out of their security deposits. They have a sketchy move-out practice in place where they will charge egregious amounts for items that do not require fixing at all such as "updating towel holders". They robbed us of over $1000 on baseless garbage. I wouldn't trust them with any other services if this is how they conduct themselves with a simple move-out.

Michael and his team are very reliable. I think we would like to give them extra one star for their super excellent work.
I would like to post Michael's picture and his team on my Facebook to introduce him to my friends.
Thanks to Michael and his group. -
We recently worked with Michael & his team on a hardwood floor replacement project for our rental unit at Emeryville. Michael responded to our questions timely and was able to provide all the documentations required by our HOA. The work was done in great quality. We are happy with the final results.

Michael of 6 Hammers and his team workers have been helping the reconstruction jobs for one of the rental properties I’ve managed in Concord, He has provided a very detailed outlines prior to starting the works, his team workers have arrived the project site on time and professionally doing their jobs without any supervision.
It’s a reconstruction works due to roof leaking causing the ceiling & walls extensive damages in one bedroom. His worker did point out roof was still leaking after we have roofer repaired the 1st time, and thanks for the worker’s help, we found out the exactly leaking spot on the roof and finish the final roof repairs and finished all the reconstruction project. I want to thank you Michael and his team workers for doing the excellent & professional job within my client’s budget. -
Lex was very professional, quick to respond, and gave great guidance. Even though we didn’t end up needing his services this time, I’ll be saving his number and reach out when we have need.

Sergio and his team from 6 Hammers helped us to build our dream hidden room, they took on the challenge from designing the wall, the mechanics to open the door, to actually building and finishing it up. They are also very efficient and communicated very well on the progress. Great job! We will definitely come back again.

Our experience began with an unexpected flood in January 2025, when we came home to find a burst valve under the sink had caused 1.5 to 2 inches of water throughout our entire first floor. As anyone who’s been through a home disaster knows, it’s an incredibly stressful experience that can test your patience and resilience.
Following the remediation, we were referred to 6 Hammers by a colleague. From the beginning, Michael impressed us with his honesty and transparency. He walked us through our options and clearly explained the potential risks involved—particularly the chance we might lose the granite countertops that had just been preserved.
Thankfully, Michael and his team handled everything with precision and skill. They replaced insulation, installed additional storage under the stairs (a smart suggestion from the remediation team), repaired drywall, plastered, painted, rebuilt cabinets, and even reattached kitchen and bathroom plumbing. Every detail was addressed with care, and their craftsmanship shows throughout our home.
This project took five months from start to finish, and we couldn’t be happier with the results, and they managed to SAVE OUR granite countertops. The transformation has been incredible, and we’re so grateful for the professionalism, honesty, and quality work delivered by both teams.
Highly recommend both companies if you’re ever facing water damage and need reliable, skilled professionals to help restore your home. -

I'd give zero stars if I could. Ordered a dishwasher to replace our broken one and spent a month without a dishwasher because Home Depot failed 3 times at simply doing the thing we had paid them to do.
First attempt: dishwasher was delivered broken, so Home Depot returned it.
Second attempt: Home Depot showed up and told us they couldn't install it because our kitchen doesn't have a counter, even though the first time they said it was fine to install.
Third attempt: Home Depot showed up without a dishwasher entirely, even though we called twice to confirm during the week. They said they were just here to pick up the old broken one, but they thought it would already be uninstalled and couldn't uninstall it themselves. They left without doing anything. No idea why they thought this. They gave us a $200 gift card and said they'd refund the rest of our money but I don't think that's even happened yet.
We went to Airport Appliance and got the same dishwasher for the same price delivered and installed in just a few days. Don't make our mistake. Do not use Home Depot. What a massive waste of time. We've now spent hours and hours on the phone with Home Depot that was all fully wasted when we could have just gone somewhere else to get this extremely simple task done. Home Depot said our kitchen is weird and basically tried gaslighting us into thinking this is all somehow our fault. If our kitchen is so weird I don't understand why Airport Applicance was able to accomplish the same task in one go in about 30 minutes. Seems like Home Depot simply can't do the service they advertise.
