After the work was done, I had more questions and Kacen showed up in person and provided more explanation while checking sprinkler system.

C&H Gardens have done three projects for me and all of them were all I hoped for. They transformed my backyard which required extensive demolition of an old spa area and putting in a lawn with sprinkler system. They replaced fencing, removed and trimmed trees as required. and managed to also throw in a few little extras that were much appreciated.

All of them worked very steadily, cleaned up everything thoroughly and seemed to take a real interest in what they were doing.

All my interactions with them were marked by courtesy, careful listening on their part, and a carrying out of what was agreed on for the estimate given.

It was a real pleasure to have this company perform this work for me and I would recommend them to anyone.

We wanted to create a tranquil outdoor environment at our inpatient hospice house with multiple seating areas for hospice families to gather privately. C&H Gardens listened to our needs and designed the perfect outdoor space! Not only was the C&H crew professional and completed the project on time, but they also went to great lengths to minimize disruption to our hospice patients. We love the new water feature, and the garden is filled with beautiful drought tolerant plants appropriate for the area. I highly recommend C&H Gardens.

TOTAL DISASTER

We hired Kent (C&H Gardens owner) to do our backyard makeover. We showed him pictures of garden ideas we would like to incorporate in our project. He wasn’t very receptive (first red flag we ignored), but because he was available right away we gave him the job. He came up with a rough design and asked us to trust him…this is not my first BBQ he said. What a mistake we made… the whole job was a total disaster. After a few days 3/4 of our backyard was covered with ugly, cheap mulch and a whole bunch of small, poor quality plants. Many of them were brown and looked like they were dying. His response was: they will come back. Eventually he replaced a few box woods and said if you want me to replace more I will have to charge extra. Some other plants he simply planted in the wrong areas, for example roses in the shade,so they quickly started to suffer and we had to replant them. We were very specific about the color of the gravel we wanted, so it would match that which already existed on the property, but he brought a totally different color stone and then told us they are close enough. Kent turned out to be very unprofessional , was rude to me and my husband and extremely unpleasant. His attitude in the end was: I did what you wanted. He has no sense of landscape design. All materials and plants were picked randomly and of poor quality.Be very careful and very specific if you decide to hire him. He’s very overpriced for what he does. We wasted tens of thousand of dollars and ended up having to spend even more to make our garden livable again.

I have nothing but good things to say about Kent and C&H Gardens. When Kent first came to my house, and saw my unfinished landscaping, he had a clear and beautiful vision of what it could become. From day one, his team demolished the unattractive pavement leading up to our front door. He immediately poured good quality concrete and blended the colors to match my previous concrete. His tasks involved choosing the plants, placing of drip irrigation, and the placement of lights. Kent envisioned the plain patio in the backyard with a trellis, to give privacy and create more useful space. This truly enhanced the look and functionality of our backyard. Kent supervised the project on a daily basis. He was polite and made the job a fun experience. I would recommend C&H Gardens to anyone who has a need for landscape work, whether small or large. Kent completed everything that he promised, and surpassed my expectations.

Kent and his C & H Landscaping crew did an awesome job on our back patio revamp. They knew exactly what they were doing and were happy to accommodate all of our priorities, ideas, and suggestions. Kent’s professionalism and knowledge of landscaping design is also far and above the other landscaping company’s I’ve dealt with in the past. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and feel that Kent went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. We have already gotten so many compliments on how great our new patio looks. I highly recommend their work and plan on hiring them for future projects.

Kent and his crew have become our "go to" people for tree trimming and stump removal. They show up when they say they are going to, get the job done, clean up thoroughly, and are courteous in the process. What's more, the prices are fair and competitive. Recommend them highly!

I reached out to Kacen after a friend recommended him for some help with my front yard. I had a vision in my head of a welcoming garden with colorful plants and a small seating area, but I had no idea where to start. From the first meeting, he listened closely to what I wanted and asked all the right questions.

Within a week, he came back with a plan that was exactly what I had pictured, only better. He suggested plants I had never even heard of, explained how to care for them, and arranged everything so it would look great year-round. Watching the project come together was exciting, and Kacen made sure I was involved in every step.

What impressed me most was his pride in the work. He double-checked every detail, stayed until everything was perfect, and left the space cleaner than it had been before. He also gave me a simple watering schedule and even checked in a few days later to see how everything was doing.

It is rare to work with someone who is equally skilled, professional, and easy to talk to. My front yard now gets compliments from neighbors almost every day, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. I will definitely be calling Kacen again when I am ready to tackle the backyard.

Kent and his crew did an AMAZING job converting my GIANT MESS of a dead backyard into an oasis! They went above and beyond to ensure everything was done to my satisfaction. I had a large laundry list of things that needed doing and they nailed it. They demo'd old overgrown bushes, got rid of years of weeds and mounds of dirt, transplanted some sago palms, replaced my old sprinklers with drip and connected the two backyard valves to my timer. The artificial turf they installed is beautiful and they left my entire yard pressure washed and beautiful. I no longer frown when I look out my back windows. Kent was also at the job every day, checking in, which shows how much he cares about his clients (I've had contractors who only show up to collect payments.) I would highly recommend Kent and his crew to anyone who wants landscaping magic!

Kacen and his team were absolute professionals. We were in a frustrating situation with palm trees that kept dying, and despite trying multiple experts, nothing worked. It felt like we were out of options. But from the moment I connected with Kacen, I could tell he truly knew his craft.

He shared that he’s been around landscaping since he was eight years old, learning from his father who’s been in the business for many years. The moment he stepped onto our property, he immediately gave us insights—not just about our palm trees, but about so many aspects of our house and garden. His expertise and professionalism were obvious.

What stood out most is that Kacen is incredibly generous with his time. He feels like a good friend or neighbor—diligent, trustworthy, and someone who honors his word. He under-promises and over-delivers, going above and beyond in both service and value.

He also provided helpful, no-cost recommendations and even referred us to other reliable experts for things outside his scope. In a field where it’s easy to come across people who overcharge or lack true knowledge, Kacen stands out. He’s someone I’ll continue working with long-term, and I know anyone else would be lucky to work with him too.

Our front landscape was in desperate need of makeover landscaping. C&H Gardens has trimmed and removed many very large trees for me, over the last 6 years. It was an easy decision to choose Kent and C&H to do our landscaping project. Design was agreed upon and work began in mid-May 2020 and completed as designed in 3 weeks, on time and at cost projection. The professional work crew and design elements that added great visual quality to the street view was more than we expected. Our family and friends agree the work and view was fantastic. We will have an easy choice on our next project for the back yard...C&H is our contractor. Thanks Kent Horner, job well done.

Kacen and his team did an outstanding job in changing our backyard. They removed the bamboos and several plants/trees and replaced them with the succulents we chose. Kacen was a big help in figuring out the new design and recommending the plants for the landscape. They redid the irrigation, soil, planted new plants and added a layer of landscape rock: everything was done in a week, and at a reasonable cost. We highly recommend this team!

Kent and his team are exceptional. Kent have a vision greater than most and for that reason he delivers beauty. It’s his professionalism and his crew that deliver quality. His team had attention to detail that we didn’t know existed such as adding concrete to a hole the size of a dime. We didn’t notice but Kent did. He has that eye. He also suggested plants that were appropriate for the location sun/shade. He was very respectful when made suggestions and always kept us involved and made us feel like it was a collaboration. Also, he installed a new sprinkler system in accordance to our plants to ensure no under or overwatering. I cannot recommend him highly enough

My wife and I are super happy with this team. They have great taste when it comes to landscape design, and they also know how to help you stay within your budget. Communication was smooth the whole time — they really listened to what we wanted, were super patient, and never pushed their own ideas on us. Whatever we asked for, they just got it done. No fuss. Honestly, I’m kinda motivated to make more money just so we can buy a bigger house and hire them again to design and build another yard!

It was a pleasure working and getting to know Kacen. His vision and design turned our yard into a beautiful low maintenance water wise far beyond what we expected. His proposal was at the low end of quotes we received and our budgeted amount which allowed us to acid stain our driveway and side walks. Kacen and his team arrived early every day cleaned up and completed the entire transformation in 4 days and it rained during 1. We have reached out to Kacen with a question he quickly replied provided advice needed and offered to help if needed. Extremely satisfied.

Trey is responsive and hard working. His first job included removing an old freezer that smelled like a death locker. We hadn’t noticed that the door had been left open full of meat. I was very clear that this was not going to be a pretty job and he took it anyway. Today’s job delivering to 24” boxed olive trees was still hard, but not to that level lol And hopefully I will never need them for that type of job again!!! Thank you Trey!

I highly recommend Trey for any junk removal you may need. He showed up promptly and had all our stuff cleared and loaded up in no time and even recycles items when possible. Not only are his prices reasonable, he’s a great guy and a pleasure to deal with!

I had the most incredible experience about five minutes ago with Trey from leucadia junk I highly recommend him he was on time. He was friendly, personable fair pricing. I really really am impressed. If you have anything junk that you’ve been accumulating like I did. This was so easy within 20 minutes. Everything was on his truck. We sat and had a cup of coffee great great, great company and a great man.
