General Contractor reviews in Fallbrook, California

We had a terrible experience with them. Damage done to properly. Did not follow Trex installation and ruined the deck. Made multiple attempts to fix and left me with a wavy surface. Stairs look like an inexperienced person built them. Urinating in my bushes seem on my security cameras. Worst experience and a total waste of my time and money.

HomePro Construction has performed two kitchen remodels in two homes for me. The remodels included custom cabinets, new electrical and plumbing, window(s) and doors. The workmanship was superior and Gary the owner went beyond normal practice to assure total satisfaction.

I cannot speak more highly about the positive experience I had with Home Pro, we found a light fixture we wanted to install and did not realize to the degree the work that needed to be accomplished to install it properly. It involved changing out 6 other fixtures, capping, rewiring, cutting and repairing drywall. This was accomplished in a timely manner, the work was executed professionally, and we couldn't be happier with the final result of their efforts (working late into the day/evening to make sure everything was perfect!)

I highly recommend Home Pro Construction. The workmanship is excellent, superb value, and timeline followed without delays. Home Pro completed a major custom remodel of our entire home including kitchen, bathrooms, roofing, living areas, guest house as well as outdoor patios and exterior stonework. Kitchen and flooring tile throughout the entire house were designed and installed by professionals, kitchen layout designed by Gary, the owner and proprietor, who always supervised all work in detail during the entire project. All work performed was A+ quality. I highly recommend Gary Sheppard and his construction company, Home Pro Construction.

We hired Gary at Home Pro Construction based on our neighbor's recommendation. Our project was a massive whole house remodel and it was not an easy job. Our home had been remodeled at least 3 times and there were many unknowns and many potential issues to resolve. Gary jumped in head first and from start to finish was an absolute pro who cared about every detail. Many contractors will do what is easiest or less complicated for them but we felt that Gary always did the right things and did not cut any corners. We collaborated on every detail of not just the construction but all the design and finishes. He cared as much as we did and his excitement and positivity kept us going when we would get overwhelmed by the magnitude of the project. If you are looking for an experienced contractor who can solve problems and likes to collaborate, he is your guy. We are now living in our dream home and we couldn't be happier!

I had Home Pro build a new deck for our home.
It turned out great, and we couldn't be happier. Gary was easy to work with and completed the project right on schedule. 100% satisfied.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Home Pro Construction for a couple of projects at my home, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the results! The team installed a beautiful retaining wall in our side yard and upgraded the lighting in our bathroom, exceeding our expectations in both quality and professionalism.

Throughout the projects, Gary and his team were punctual, communicative, and respectful of our home. He provided clear estimates, adhered to the timeline, and ensured that the work area was clean and tidy upon completion.

I highly recommend Gary and Home Pro Construction for any home improvement projects. His skill, dedication, and professionalism make him the ideal choice for future jobs. I will definitely be reaching out to him for our next project!

Home Pro Construction just completed a full remodel of my condominium's kitchen (down to the studs). Gary worked with me in advance to ensure that we had the critical decisions mae and big items (e.g., cabinets) ordered and on hand in advance of starting work. Gary developed a schedule and he and his subcontractors stuck to it. Throughout the process we had daily communication about status and what to expect the next day. During construction I was living in my home (not using my kitchen) and at the end of each day, workers cleaned up and organized materials to minimize impacts. Truly impressed by Gary and each of the staff and subcontractors -- construction, cabinets, electrical, plumbing, countertops and painting . All were a respectful, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. They followed my HOA rules and we had no issues. Construction was completed on schedule. Love my new kitchen!

You can add us to the list of happy homeowners pleased with both the work and the character of Gary Sheppard of Home Pro Construction. We have used Gary for two major construction projects in our home - a full kitchen remodel ( 2020) and, just recently, a remodel of our primary bathroom (late fall of 2024). Both projects reinforced our confidence in his skills, his responsiveness, and his ethics. We are not detailed visionaries - starting both projects with more of a wish than a detailed plan. Gary helped us think things through, oversaw changes and design concerns while keeping his patience, his focus and his smile as issues or new ideas, requiring modifications, popped up! He and his subs were on time, here as promised and remained careful and considerate always – working together with him to ensure our home remained live-able, safe, and that all project work progressed well. We trusted Gary with his craft, his management and his interest in doing things right. We also truly enjoyed seeing him each & every day!

I first worked with Gary Sheppard and Home Pro Construction 10 years ago when I remodeled my kitchen. He was recommended to me by a friend. What a great referral! The kitchen turned out great and the experience working with Home Pro was very positive so I have worked with Gary about every 2 years since for needed projects in my older home. I trust his work and knowledge of construction and his contacts with excellent people in the industry, and I trust him as person to be fair, honest, professional, and caring. He has pride in his work and puts in the time to make sure the job is done correctly. The electricians, plumbers, painters, flooring people, his own crew have done excellent work. The projects he has handled for me include the kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, replacing windows and a french door, installing new flooring/carpet, exterior house painting, retaining wall repair and extension, foundation leak. I have been happy with the results of all the projects. Gary is a problem solver. He created extra space in my kitchen, he and his crew found the leak from our deck to a closet after others didn’t and fixed the damage before mold set in, he figured out how to repair and extend our retaining wall instead of recommending a whole new wall. There have been times that I have had a project that I wanted to start on but Gary was in the middle of several large projects and couldn’t take it on. Instead of looking for someone else, I chose to wait because it was worth it to work with someone I knew I could trust to do good work and was a pleasure to work with. I have recommended Gary and Home Pro Construction to a friend who has used him to remodel multiple rooms in her house and I recommend him to you.

I am so happy with the projects that Home Pro Construction brought to life for me. I turned a furnace closet into a pantry, and added a closet to a bedroom that had none. I also tiled my kitchen floor to match the pantry floor. Gary and his crew (Alejandro! 🙌) have vision, work ethic, and integrity. I’d turn to them again in a heartbeat for any home project.

Home Pro Construction remodeled our entire home and built a custom deck off our yard over the canyon giving us an ocean view. The craftsmanship was exemplary, the workman professional, courteous and knowledgable and the price very competitive. We have recommended this company to family and friends and they have been consistent in their service and quality results. I highly recommend Home Pro Construction!

We just finished our third project with Gary Shepard and as always are very pleased with the outcome. Gary will give you a honest answer on all your questions and the timeline to finish the project. He was true to his word showing up each morning right on time. His prices are fair and he goes out of his way to stick to your budget. But the best part is he brings my vision to life. Quality work and stands behind his work

We have worked with Gary at Home Pro Construction for many years on different projects and are always satisfied with his work, scheduling, communication, and honesty. Home Pro Construction is very competitive in their pricing and very informative on each project letting us know exactly what the plan is. He starts and finishes the projects as promised and in a timely manner. We believe Gary is an honest and trustworthy contractor and we will continue to use him for future projects.

I had occasion to require Jeff's services again recently. What an easy and comfortable experience! I highly recommend Jeff Comerford for any of your HVAC needs.
