These guys did a giant deck repair for me and it is perfect. You can't say that very often. Perfect!

I used Knowlton Construction after the Loma Prieta earthquake to do some major repair work to my other house. When our upstairs bathroom shower started leaking I searched for contractors and I was surprised Bill was still at it. He submitted a reasonable estimate in a timely manner. We had them upgrade the shower, replace the tile floor, add a vent and electrical outlet for the bidet. Positives: the project turned out very well. The plumbing and tile subcontractors did great work. His lead man, Patrick was competent (although a bit grumpy). Criticisms: Communication on the scheduling could have been much better, it took 5 months for completion, prices on change orders were not give, so I was surprised about some of the charges. It was taking so long, I actually did the finish plumbing, cleaning and touch up myself. I understand this was in the midst of the pandemic and Bill had some health and family issues, but that's a long time without the bathroom.

Used Aptos plumbing a couple of times now, last one was an urgent request, they responded on a Friday late afternoon and came out to help, no reason to look further for 5 star plumbers.

Great service from Todd. He came out to remove a main line clog right away. He was friendly, courteous, and thoughtful. I'll stick with them for all future plumbing needs.

Aptos plumbing came out to fix a clogged toilet and sink. I was traveling at the time. I thought he said $250 (which I thought was expensive for an hour, but fine). And then I got a bill for $500 - for 45min of work and no parts. I complained and told them like I felt like I was getting scammed and they said nope that's the price you pay for plumbers in this town.

flwp: so when I was surprised at the pricing after you sent it, you're basically saying I didn't listen to what I was told? Sure, go with that. You communication skills are obviously super clear. Just so I'm clear, I feel scammed and ripped off.
