Republic Services Alameda County

I moved to a home and it took several weeks for Republic Services to deliver the trash bins, we had to call them every week; somehow we end up with 2 black and 2 blue bins. Now we need Republic Services to pick up the extra blue and black bins and we have called them every week and they always say they will pick them up but no one shows up, it's been longer than a month now. I called on Monday and they said they will escalate the issue and also said somebody will call me on Tuesday at the latest but nobody called so far. This is by far the worst company I have done business with.

Update review after 3 months: Republic Services didn't show up to pick up the extra bins, we tried for several weeks, so I offered to drop them off at their facility and they agree.
Regarding their service, they miss pick ups once in a while, specially the compost waste, service is not reliable

So how loudly do you need to complain to get a response from these people? They need competition I guess to force them to step up their customer service which is a shame!
If your customers are forced to wait on the phone over an hour to talk to someone, you need to hire more people! Our time is a valuable as yours!
I sent an email at your website over 2 weeks ago and have yet to get a reply. I have called only to be left on hold for over an hour!
Unacceptable!
For 2 weeks in a row your driver has refused to pick up the neatly flattened, stacked and tied cardboard boxes we have left out.
When he leaves all the containers are upside down, strewn about up and down the street.
I have a bulky pick up scheduled for tomorrow. Is it going to happen? I don't know. No one has confirmed. And now am I to be forced to use my bulky pick up for cardboard boxes that you're supposed to pick up for free?!
PLEASE someone CARE and CALL ME!

These folks have a Monopoly on the area and take advantage of that consistently. They have no one in the office to answer phones - so your call for "service" actually bounces around the country and you'll never hear from them again.

In the last year alone - they have missed over 10 pick ups at my business and when I call to report or ask questions, it never gets resolved. Which is insane considering I am less than 2 miles from their operating office.

So in short - you have to use them if you're in the area, but don't even expect the bare minimum because they truly do not care.
