I have assisted with a number of project deliveries for mark along with seeing these projects during the fabrication process.
I have seen first hand the attention to detail and craftsmanship he brings to each wood working piece. That attention to detail is also easily known by finishers that handle that process on a given piece.
I would highly recommend marks for any woodworking piece you need

Craig is the best! He repaired my vintage Drexel Heritage dining table. The dowels had broken on 2 legs and he replaced them within a week, added the toe taps and cleaned up the scratches on the legs. Looks like new. I was so impressed with his knowledge of furniture.
He also repaired my vintage coffee table which had broken leg and a crack on the other leg. A truly skilled craftsman.

Don't ever go here. Took in my project and he asked if it was a rush and I said no then I called back 6 months later and he said he didn't get to it. 1 year later he said he had not done it so I went and picked it up. DONT EVER GO HERE!!!

I took an old, not in great shape Eastlake lamp table to Craig. When I picked it up, I was absolutely stunned at what a fantastic job he did. And he's reasonably priced too!!... I'm still speechles.

Craig is the consummate professional, restoring all types of antique and vintage furniture. He knows all the old techniques, glues, and can fabricate parts if needed. Highly recommend!

I bought an old armoire from Offer Up that had peeling veneer on some of the drawers, an old keyhole with a key that didn't work, and a badly repaired leg with ugly glue residue discoloring the bottom. Craig took about a week to face lift this thing and now its a beauty. He took out the keyhole, and replaced that closure with two knobs--you can't even tell it was any different--and the bad repair is completely redone and looks as if there had never been a problem.

Craig is just the best! He was very friendly, timely, and most of all, able to repair my bar stool chair without any issues. It's just like new! I highly recommend him and will seek him out for future repairs.

This place is awesome!! We had our dining room chair repaired and the owner was meticulous, the repair is completely undetectable!! Very professional!! I would go here again and again for repairs.

Craig is a master at furniture repair/remodeling. He is a master and his prices are reasonable. He took a large old-style entertainment center for a 32" TV and converted it to a stand for a 60" flat panel. It looks great!

I had this cedar chest that I inherited and 2 of the feet had come off. I found Newcastle on Yelp. I contacted Craig and we were able to schedule a drop off appointment same day (great convenience for me). He looked over the piece and gave me a fair estimate and promise delivery date.

Craig was done with the work earlier than promised (bonus for me) and kept to his written estimate. The work was beautiful! He removed the casters as promised and re-attached the two feet that had come off, he even did a little extra by filling in some of the nicks and dings. He even offered assistance and guidance if I decided to refinish the piece.

I would highly recommend Newcastle Furniture Company, I will recommend Craig to anyone who needs furniture repair. I feel extremely lucky to have found such a good craftsman/ artist.

A few weeks ago, my nephew was visiting my parents and broke off the entire right arm of one of our 70+ years old mahogany dining chairs. These chairs have been in our family for many years and was one of the few we had with arms.

We knew it was not so simple a repair as gluing the arm back on. We wanted a complete restoration so that it would be sturdy and able to support people's weight and we wanted it to look 'good as new.'

I checked out the company's website and was impressed by the level of craftsmanship that Craig (the owner) has shown in his previous work. I emailed him to ask for a general estimate (not something that people are always willing to do) and he was quick to respond back. My parents and I decided that the price was reasonable and so we called to set up an appointment for that day.

The shop is located in the owner's garage. Craig was friendly and personable and his shop was neat and well-organized. We saw some of the other pieces he was working on and they looked beauiful.

Craig took the time to carefully examine our chair, see what was needed to be done, and to explain it to us. Since the chair was partially upholstered he told us he would take more care to ensure that the fabric next to the repaired area would not be harmed.

My parents picked it up at the appointed date and they (and I) are thrilled with the results. The chair arm is sturdier now than it was before it got broken. You can't see any chips or glue, and the color matching was quite excellent... We have to look at it very closely to tell that this is the repaired chair!

We certainly will come back to Newcastle Furniture Company for all our other repairs.
