We paid $68 for an A/C cleaning and tune-up from Jamison's Heating & Cooling, but it nearly cost us $1,562.

I hired them after receiving a flyer at my door, which seemed like a "nice to have" luxury with a baby at home in the 90s. The owner, Ryan, lied about being a different person on the phone on July 18th, 23. This is still confusing to me.

On July 19th, 23, technician Arturio left an overshoe that was choking the blower motor and made it screech loudly for five days until he removed it. The blower motor then buzzed very noticeably for several days before dying on July 24th, 23.

Art quoted $897 to replace the blower motor but only charged $178.55 for the new one from their supplier plus $97 labor. Ryan agreed to do the replacement for free but reneged and never gave me my original $68 refund. While doing the job, he accidentally snapped the head off a bolt in the collet of the blower wheel.

The new motor wouldn't turn on because Art wired it wrong according to the chart on the box. Instead, he claimed the transformer needed replacement for $597. With this diagnosis, Art and Ryan tried to blame me for having to replace the blower motor unnecessarily.

After negotiating, Ryan said technician Joseph would come the next day between noon-2pm to replace the transformer/relays for $305 but never showed up or called during that time window on July 26th, 23. My baby was suffering in the heat and I reconnected the wire leads myself and fixed the problem.
