Constraction reviews in Glendale, California

Best contractor in town

I love these guys and love the way they do business! Their level of expertise is incredible and items they bring are great!

Check them out and you'll see what I mean. I'll surely come back for more in future and I recommend all to go to them!

Gary is a one of a kind General Contractor. He takes pride in his work, and it shows. He is fair and honest. Of 100 Contractors, how many would you say fit that description..

We worked with Gary again to repair the "garage" in the rear of our property. I use garage loosely because it was more like a shack that was leaning over with a leaky roof and doors that had to be propped up with sticks.
Gary and the crew worked their magic to repair the framing, install a new roof, windows and new siding to match the house. The fact they were able to salvage it without tearing down is astonishing. Now it looks like a lovely extension of the house instead of a creepy shack - 11/10 would build again.

GK Construction has worked for us twice - once a complete remodel of an apartment and also he renovated an industrial space for us. In both cases Gary quickly and expertly transformed our spaces. He has a big crew of very skilled workers who showed up every day, including Saturdays. There was not a minute wasted which was important to us.
We will definitely work with him again. He is a Pro and you'd be lucky to have him work on your project

Gary was able to come over on quick notice to do a walkthrough of various projects we were thinking about doing and give us an on-the-spot estimate which he followed up with a quote about a week later. We wanted a wall removed for two closets to be joined, multiple rooms of carpet to be changed to laminate, drywall for the garage, and a new closet to be built--so a real smorgasbord of stuff.

Gary gave an incredibly reasonable quote for the work and was able to start when it was most convenient for me. For the long list of projects above, it only took about 6 days of actual work from him and his crew, and he kept me updated at every step of the way. When an unexpected issue arose regarding a beam, he gave me my options, gave me reasonable prices for different alternative solutions, and gave his suggestion which I greatly appreciated. Throughout the whole process, Gary made sure everything was to my satisfaction and drew my attention to any issues that arose to give his advice and get my direction.

My home is significantly improved at a very reasonable price thanks to Gary and his work and my wife and I are both thrilled at the results. I cannot recommend him highly enough when you are soliciting quotes for general contracting work in your home.

We had an amazing experience working with Gary and his
team on our home remodel project. From start to finish,
our experience was seamless. What was very important to
us which GK General Construction excelled at as well was
communication and timelines. Quality was also sound and
being a picky person myself, I was absolutely pleased with
the quality of work from floors, to the moldings,
countertops and beyond. Thank you for making
everything so easy for us and making our visions into reality!

We had GK Construction install french doors in the back of our house, which included stucco work, some finessing of the wood door frame, patching-- a lot of small details that matter. When the work was done, everything looked perfect. Gary was extremely direct and clear in his communication, with zero drama and no surprises. He and his crew showed up together on time each day, and got the work done in the time frame he gave to us initially. The total price was very reasonable. I would trust Gary with a much larger renovation based on my experience with him. GK General Construction is the kind of honest, dependable contractor you feel grateful for from the first day of the job to the last.

We have been working with Gary on several different projects of complete renovations of homes including square foot additions to complete new structures. He's been great to work with. Very timely, does what he says in the time frame he says. Work just keeps moving along and his crew is always on top of things. His prices are very reasonable and he's also a very pleasant man. Best contractor in town!

So far the best contractor i worked with. Quick easy, no problems with the city, no headaches. Got the job done professionally, every little detail was accounted for. Definitely would recommend everyone to use Garen, for their projects.

I had an amazing experience with GK General Construction! The team was professional, reliable, and delivered high-quality work right on schedule. They paid great attention to detail and kept everything clean and organized throughout the project. I’m really happy with the results and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy contractors!

It's 2024 and another edit.

Gary is wonderful. I had another renovation to do for my mother so of course I trusted this to Gary. As always, he was prompt, fair, and thorough. He converted a bathtub to a walk-in shower, replaced carpet with all new flooring, along with many other general fixes. Not to mention the nice touch-ups that needed to be done, that I didn't even think to ask about.

So that's a total 3 renovations and a brand new construction ADU) from GK General Construction. Highly recommend you reach out to Gary. You will not be disappointed.

Edit: Since the post above, Gary created a brand new house in our backyard (ADU). Once again, he did a great job and we couldn't be happier with the results!

Simply put, Gary is amazing. He's done 3 renovations for us over the years. Last year's job was a complete renovation where Gary gutted a house down to the studs and built it back up. This means floors, windows, walls, kitchen, bath - you name it! The family and I are more than excited living in our new place. Highly recommended! Looking forward to working with Gary on our next project.

I hired these guys to redo my master bedroom last year. They did an excellent job!

Thanks for helping me with my bathroom remodeling, it was smooth journey and now we are enjoying that kingdom every day.

We love our new kitchen backsplash! Thank you Spartak and your team, you guys did an awesome job. They were friendly, creative, and cared about doing things in the best way.

Major Construction went above and beyond for us. We had struggled with tiling our bathroom ourselves, but they made it look easy. Their quote was straightforward, the work was done promptly, and the results speak for themselves. We're thrilled with their expertise and professionalism.

Spartak and his crew did an incredible job with our patio epoxy coating. The transformation is jaw-dropping—it’s now the perfect mix of style and durability. They even added some custom texture to prevent slipping, which was a thoughtful touch since we have kids. We’ve already hosted a party, and everyone keeps asking who did the work. Highly recommend!

I found Major Construction on Google. I hired them to apply an epoxy coating to my garage's old concrete floor. In addition to the floor coating, I requested that all the walls in the garage be painted. The job was done cleanly, the floor looks beautiful now, and we’ve started spending more time in the garage. I’m planning to remodel my kitchen after the holidays, and I’ll most likely choose Spartak and his team for the job

I recently had Major Construction apply an epoxy coating to my garage floor. The team was professional and paid attention to every detail. They helped me choose the right color and finish to suit my garage setup, and it looks super sleek and durable. They arrived on time, kept everything clean, and finished the job as scheduled I would absolutely recommend Major Construction to anyone looking for quality, reliable service.

Just wanted to thank major construction for remodeling and tiling our bathroom. They did a nice job, I like the job they did. Clean, good quality of installation, price, and overall service provided.

CJ was prompt and professional - we did several projects with him for our HOA complex- we would definitely use him again
