YFR is an awesome company.

First we had Matt (one of the co-owners and arborist) come assess a potential hazard tree and give us some direction for the trees on our property. He was fantastic— knowledgeable, friendly, professional, everything you could want in an arborist. We then had the YFR crew come out and take out several trees and limb up another one. All of the crew members were amazing; they were all hard-working, approachable, communicative and far exceeded any expectations we had.

We are incredibly happy with the results, despite the fact that much of the work was in difficult locations that seemed to me like they would be frustrating to work in.

I also had many questions going into the process and multiple logistical concerns along the way that Jenn kindly and patiently helped clear up for me. She had great attention to detail and was very prompt with the initial proposal, contract, invoice, etc.

I truly can’t think of anything that was negative in our experience with YFR. I highly recommend them!

Matt and his crew did a great job at removing two trees very close to our house. They took all precautions to make sure the job was done safely and expertly, and they did a grea job at tidying up the area and move the brush away from the house.

Matt, Jenn, and team are incredibly professional, friendly, and deeply knowledgeable about forest health and fire safety. If you're looking for responsive, efficient and trustworthy experts, these are your folks! I can't recommend them highly enough.

I have used YFR on several occasions and am always impressed! They came out during the snowmageddon storm to remove trees that were definitely going to destroy my house. I have also used them to remove tall pines leaning over my house. They’re extremely safe and skilled and their customer service is excellent! There’s no one I would trust more to do my tree work! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

YFR was great to work with and was able to do more each day than discussed. Matt understood what was needed and what would make our land look good. I look forward to using YFR again next year to get more done.

Had the guys out to remove two trees on our property overhanging structures. They were communicative throughout the whole process, safe, and left the drive and yard cleaner than when they showed up.

We've used YFR twice in the last year and a half for two enormous oaks that were leaning over our house and I cannot say enough good things about the company, but I will try.
- Matt and Jenn are great to work with in terms of inspections, setting up times that work for the customer, and getting billed.
- Matt will always give you all the information you need to make the most informed decision you can when it comes to a tree that can be managed instead of removed, which I deeply appreciate.
- If the crew is inspecting a tree, they won't use spikes to climb it like many other local companies- this is important as if you decide to keep the tree, it won't have damage from the climber's inspection.
- I've worked as a supervisor for large scale arborist work, and have seen a wide range of work, workers, and outcomes. This company is hands down the best. The arborists and ground crew are thoughtful, methodical, their equipment is meticulously maintained, and they are always seeking to improve.
- The work has gone without a hitch both times- we have a mature maple between both giant oaks that I suspect would have been destroyed by most other companies, and it went unscathed thanks to the crew's mastery of rigging extremely unwieldy and heavy branches.
- The crew left the property and work area better and cleaner than they found it both times and communicated what they were doing at all points.

Matt and his team did such a great job taking several dead trees down and off of our property. Super knowledgable and the nicest guys. we'll definitely be using them again. Highly recommended!

Matt and his crew did an impressive job removing 5 large oaks, one large fir, and some pruning. They were timely, precise, and the crew had a solid work ethic!

Matt & the YFR crew responded quickly when called to remove an 80ft Cypress tree from our roof last year, which fell during an exceptional snow storm. Despite the bad conditions they came out and did some emergency branch clearing around our chimney so we could have a fire during the power outage. As soon as the weather cleared enough they were back with the crew and a crane to get the tree off the roof. They did an amazing job, while being very professional, efficient, safety conscious and friendly! Highly recommend this awesome team!

Yuba Forest Restoration worked on our property for three days and did an amazing job! We recently purchased the property and the land hadn't been cleared in over twenty years. It was overgrown with brush to the point where it was near impassable to walk through and the dense growth of ladder fuels posed a concern for wildfires. YFR transformed over three acres of dense undergrowth into a park-like environment we can now enjoy. We were surprised at the amount of usable space created by the brush clearance!  Matt and his crew are friendly and courteous in addition to being professional, prompt and conscientious in performing their work. Matt is very knowledgeable regarding tree species identification, forest management practices and wildfire prevention measures. His attention to detail and appreciation of nature improved our landscape and respected the natural looking habitat that we are trying to restore and maintain.
Bonnie and I were very pleased with their work and highly recommend the services of Yuba Forest Restoration. We hope to have them back this coming fall to clear the rest of the undergrowth from the remaining acreage of our wooded property.

The YFR crew did a wonderful job and I’m really happy with the results! It took two days to get through all the work that needed to be done and everyone was kind and professional throughout. While they were cutting down about a quarter acre of blackberry brambles they found a bird nest with eggs in it and left that little patch with the nest alone. It’s such a small act of compassion but it helps to restore a little bit of my faith in humanity.

Highly recommend YFR!! Matt and his team were super professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient, they handled everything from tree felling to trimming with caution and care. Their amazing attention to detail and safety really stood out. Their pricing is super fair, esp knowing what other companies in the area quoted. I’ll def be using them again in the future!

They did a fantastic job cutting down two tree's for us. Worked fast and were cool dudes. If I need any tree's cut down i'll definitely call them again.

YFR came out to my property for a quote and risk assessment. Matt, the owner, was very informative and easy going. We made a game plan that would accommodate removing the the necessary trees without disturbing the landscape around our home. My favorite part is that they’re interested in keeping as many trees as possible rather than making a few extra bucks. Honest, professional company. Highly recommend.

We had a tall pine cut down and Matt really worked with us on pricing. I would call them for any future services. The workers were professional and did a great job!
