I had a thoroughly unsatisfying experience with Johnstone Supply.
When I bought a gas valve from them, I asked the cashier if I could return it if my furnace issue wasn't related to the valve and I didn't use it. They said yes, as long as it was unused. A few days later, I called to confirm this policy again, and the manager agreed that returns would be accepted under those conditions.
However, when I arrived with the item, the manager suddenly changed his mind and refused the return. When I explained our previous conversations, he became hostile, telling me to "look for their contact info" himself.
I just got an update from the Better Business Bureau regarding my complaint. Apparently, they've been trying to reach out to Johnstone Supply multiple times without a response, and now this case is marked as "unanswered". I'm extremely let down by Johnstone Supply's behavior.

I've had two disappointing experiences with Johnstone Supply - my latest motor is already overheating, mirroring the same issue from before. This isn't acceptable. What's frustrating is that their prices are higher than other suppliers, yet the quality is subpar. When you pay more, reliability is expected, not repeated failures. I'm extremely dissatisfied and won't be using them again.
