General Contractor reviews in Hayward, California

It's a pleasure working with these guys--they're creative thinkers and absolutely courteous. I love the rooms they added to our house, our beautiful kitchen redo, and our new separate ADU!

That is an excellent place beautiful and lovely🎉🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊🎈🎈🎈

Great people to work hard for👍🏾

Quality builder and easy to work with people that know what they are doing!

Very competent contractor. Excellent to do business with.

Do not trust them as they are a bad company!!

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Rodan for many years. Their entire team, from the Project Managers to the Project Engineers and field crew, is professional, knowledgeable, and fair. Great company overall!

We hired this contractor for a large tenant improvement project for our preschool. The on-site construction team was excellent, professional, friendly, and the workmanship came out well. We appreciated their responsiveness during the active construction phase and the crew treated our building with care.

However, our experience with the management side of the company was much less positive. Throughout the project, we encountered several instances where pricing or scope details were not communicated accurately. We also felt we had to closely audit estimates and cost updates because certain charges were added or adjusted without clear explanation. This created a level of mistrust and added an unnecessary administrative burden, especially on a project of this size. Lastly, they do not honor their warranty because they avoid incurring additional costs.

In the end, the project was completed, and the field crew delivered solid work, but the management/administrative practices left a lot to be desired. For that reason, I feel that a 2-star rating is fair - good on-site work, but transparency and communication from management need significant improvement.

I am in the middle of remodeling my home, and working with Acosta has been wonderful. Stress free and very reliable. Highly recommend.

The flooring guys that came to my apartment refused to take of their shoes when I asked them to, and then didn’t clean up after themselves before they left —including the footprint one of them left on the wall.

Outstanding company to work with. Prompt communication, very well skilled and they take pride in their final product.

We have been working with HB (Wei) for many years, initially started with 2 beautiful bathroom remodels 9 years ago.

Over the years I've used them for other projects such as adding canned lights in the whole house, converting our old pergola to a patio cover with skylights/gutters, and most recently full exterior painting. Due to our HOA requirements they needed samples of the paint colors so Wei made sure that was done and delivered to our door for the HOA panel to review. His crew did an awesome job of prepping, painting, and didn't cut corners. They were also always on time and kept the site clean.

I honestly don't think there is anything they won't do, I also recently had a bad plumbing leak in the wall and he sent someone over and repaired it, funny his worker recognized me from my patio project over 7 years ago. I found that he still has the same crew, that speaks volumes that Wei is able to retain them although I'm not really surprised since he likely treats his workers the same as he's always treated us with honesty and respect. Please don't hesitate to reach out to them if you have any project large or small.

Richard and his team were awesome! They were very professional and expert in their work. They do their work with precision, use the proper tools to do the job, work efficiently and cost-effective, clean and leave the site orderly and neatly as soon as the job is done.
Christine, Jazmine and fellow associates were friendly, accommodating, polite and very helpful. They were able to help us even after a year to buy supplies for the next project.
Highly recommendable!

Thanks for Mr. Wei's team! They're really professional and knowledgeable on what they do. For our renovation project on the 2 bathrooms, they provide a lot of great advises and plans. In addition, their price is more reasonable and competitive than others. During this project, all the staffs are wearing mask and keeping a social distance. I'd like to recommend HB company to you and your family. Thanks again for everything you've done for us!

Updated 2/15/2022: HB Home Decor remodeled my kitchen and half bath last spring. They did such a wonderful job that I decided to have them remodel my master bath and hallway bath this fall. Again, they did a fantastic job! Aidan was my project manager again. He was super friendly and easy to talk to. He always kept me updated on the progress of the remodeling. He goes above and beyond to make sure that the project met my expectation. Christine was my designer. She was so professional and knowledgeable. She helped me choose tiles and shower panels that I would never have considered without her help. I love the combinations of colors and styles that she recommended. HB Home Decor is definitely a five-star company! I highly recommend them!

I love my new kitchen! HB Home Decor recently remodeled my kitchen and half bath. The result is beautiful! My project manager was Aidan. I absolutely love working with Aidan! Aidan was very easy to talk to and very responsive. What I appreciated most about Aidan is that he kept me updated throughout the project, which made me feel less anxious during the remodeling.
I would also like to mention Christine. She was my designer. Christine was so wonderful to work with. I appreciated her honesty and professionalism. She helped me choose the cabinets, tiles, and countertops without being pushy. Even though we had some issues like the tiles didn’t arrive on time or the countertops broke (vendor‘s fault not HB Home), Aidan and Christine did everything they could to make the experience go as smoothly as possible. Between the two of them, somehow they helped make my kitchen bigger than before the remodeling even though we didn’t change the layout. That’s how good Aidan and Chistine are at their jobs! I can’t wait for them to come back and remodel my bathroom! If you’re looking for a contractor to remodel your home, I highly recommend HB Home Decor. Ask for Aidan and Christine, you won’t be disappointed!

Very happy customer of a brand new kitchen. We had a very old kitchen that needed an overhaul and After looking at different contractors, we decided to go with HB kitchen because Wei, the owner, made us more comfortable. He made us feel that we are not being pushed or rush on our decisions and he is very knowledgable about everything that wanted in a kitchen. We worked with Wei, with efficiency and most importantly cost, to make sure that we stay within our budget. They assured us that proposed length of time to do the job was three weeks and sure enough they fished on time. Wei's team of workers are professionals, the quality of work they did was great. We definitely recommend HB kitchen with family and friends and for our future remodeling.
Thank you Wei and HB kitchen & Bath inc!

We had an entire renovation in our house recently. We are very pleased with Alice Cabinetry's cabinets. AC is a relatively new and fine brand. We have received exceptional high quality and stylish cabinets. We highly recommend this brand if you are looking for cabinets for your home.

We will give HB Kitchen Bath 6 stars if it is possible. We need to remodel the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms. From very beginning to project completion, we had a wonderful experience with this team.

1. On Budget and On Time. The initial quote was received about one year ago, and it is very accurate compare with the actual expenses. Project was also completed on time with no dragging. These are all achieved during this pandemic time when lead time is long and price is increasing. HB has its own cabinet company and warehouse. That could be the reason for such efficiency.

2. Effective Communication. They understand our needs very well. Getting our ideas across is very easy. We had a picture in our mind about the final outcome, and it comes out better than we thought.

3. High Quality Finish. All works were done professionally with high quality. Never once we have to ask them to redo the work.

4. First Time Pass City Inspection. HB is very on top of the regulation and familiar with building codes. City Inspection was passed smoothly. Getting an inspection appointment with City of San Jose sometimes can be one month away. Each failed city inspection could have huge time cost.

5. Very Custom Focused. Details can tell how much they care. We have some furniture inside the house which creates more workload. They never complained and all furniture were well preserved during the project. The whole house is very clean afterwards. They also installed a water pan underneath the washer to prevent occasional water leakage without we asking for it. My wife has some extra requirement after the project was done. HD made all the changes accordingly.

No doubt HB is a well-managed, professionally run company. We highly recommend for your construction needs.

If you're in search of a top-notch HB Kitchen & Bath, look no further. This store has it all! The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who were eager to assist me. The selection of products was vast and of excellent quality. From elegant countertops to modern fixtures, they had everything I needed to create my dream kitchen and bath. The staff's expertise and personalized attention made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. I'm thrilled with my purchases and highly recommend this store to anyone seeking exceptional products and service.

I worked with HB and had an extremely successful result. Starting with Christine and her expert advise in design to all the workers who came when they said they would be at the job to Aidan who coordinated everything. They responded to all my questions and the result was beautiful. I hired them to paint the exterior of my house and again a professional job with beautiful results. I have received multiple positive remarks about the job.
I highly recommend HB for your home improvement jobs.
