my stepson's old r22 trane ac system finally gave out after 29 years. i had previously hired a guy who did a quick fix on the system back in 2018, and it lasted for about 2 years. when i tried to reach him again, he was unavailable until mid-july. he did, however, refer me to luis, a top-notch ac repair expert. luis came out a bit later and diagnosed the problem. as expected, it was time for a complete replacement. we decided on a new bryant compressor and carrier air handler, as well as a new thermostat, outside power box, and a thorough overhaul of the indoor area where the air handler is located, among other things. this was a full-day job, but luis and his assistant, miguel, did an excellent installation job. one of the things that convinced me to choose luis was his online reviews. at the time, he had 88 reviews and all were rated 4 or 5 stars. when you look at the ratings for some of the ac repair services that are constantly advertising on tv, you'll see that none of them have that kind of rating. instead, they're inundated with half-star reviews. i reside in hood, and i'm aware that my ac unit will eventually need to be replaced. when that day comes, i will definitely call luis to handle the job.
