Eugene and his team are the best!!
I've used Eugene for many projects: installing many ceiling lights, installing a water line to a new refrigerator, fixing a bathroom fan, making a beautiful new redwood gate for the side yard, and even a bathroom remodel. He's always on time, friendly, hard-working, goes out of his way to make the project come our right, and always cleans up after he's done. Eugene's work crew and other colleagues, including a tile installer and plumber we have used through him, are top-notch as well, always polite and high, professional standards. Even the city inspectors have been impressed with their work. Eugene may not be the lowest price you can find, but there are few who bring as much value to a variety of electrical and other household projects.

I have hired Eugene for several projects at my house including electrical, plumbing, flat TV wall installation, and electrical for an outdoor hot tub. He is an expert handyman that can fix almost anything!

Called several so-called “certified electricians” to get a permitted 240V NEMA outlet installed. Almost all of them whined, moaned, and gave outrageous quotes — except Mat from Mat Electric. He came by on Friday to look at the job, had the permit by Monday, and installed the outlet the same day. His price was far lower than the others.

When a faulty circuit caused an issue that night, he showed up right away and fixed it without any hesitation. The work was inspected and passed with no problems. I highly recommend him.

Mark handled changing a light fixture in 1 room, Moving a light fixture and installing a ceiling fan in another, also helped run cable throughout the house, Wall mounted a TV and created a new electrical outlet behind the TV so no wires are showing ....

He did an amazing job, was prompt and THOROUGH!!!! (That is the important part). We just moved into our house a couple months ago and do not want to go to anyone else for our work. Mark is professional and knowledgeable in his field. It would be hard to find another contractor that would perform the work at this level for the price of the project. I had him upgrade our exiting panel to a 200 amp one and direct wire a 240V EV charger. The work was completed fast and efficiently, during the process he also pointed out some preexisting issues with old wiring and was very through with is work.

Through out the whole project the communication was consistent and he shared every step of the process along the way. I would recommend him for any work you need done, knowing that the job will be completed correctly and professionally.

I recently used FixaCal (Mark) to install my Tesla Wall Connector. Mark came to my house to look at my electrical panel and location where I wanted my wall charger to be installed. The next day he emailed me a quote using a conduit or going through the wall with drywall repair and paint. I decided to go through the wall for a cleaner look. The day of install Mark and his apprentice, Walter, started doing the work. Both were on time and professional. As they started cutting the drywall, they came across a portion of the drywall that needed additional cutting due to plywood behind the drywall. Needless to say, a job that would have taken a few hours than previously quoted, took an additional 2-3 hours. Although there was more work involved, Mark stayed true to his estimated price and didn’t charge an additional penny. I would recommend FixaCal (Mark) for all your electrical needs.

Mark and his team were incredibly efficient in responding to my initial request, highly knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Our appointment was at 10, and he arrived right on time — extremely important since I work remote and have a tight schedule with conference calls. Total time to replace my lightbulbs took no more than 30 minutes, all handled with care and cleanliness! The small details that make a huge difference: shoe protectors, mats to keep the floors tidy, and checking in to see if we need anything during the entire process. Would definitely recommend Fixacal to anyone, especially those with a busy schedule.

Mark and his team are honest, reliable, efficient and very good at listening to the customer, being innovative and completing every aspect of the job they committed to. They understand HOA rules, individual city permit/inspection requirements, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tile installation, welding, finish work and painting. They showed up every day at exactly the agreed upon time for 3 months (5-6 days per week) - very reliable and courteous. We will be using them for future products - you should too!!!
