Reviews of local pros in Kentfield, California

Hands down my favorite garden store!

The plants are very healthy, and well suited to Northern California environment.

I’ve gotten many house plants here (red leaf banana, a small monstera, gorgeous ferns) that have all been thriving. A friend of mine got around 30 various vegetable plants this spring (many tomatoes, peppers and squashes) that are all doing very well in his garden in Oakland. Reliably great!

I also love all the pots and the great selection of soil and compost. ❤️

This is one of my favorite plant nurseries! The selection of plants is so vast, I always find myself getting lost in the joy of browsing everything. They also have some of the best priced pots for the value. Both their indoor and outdoor plant selection is excellent, which I feel like is rare with nurseries. The plants always seem so healthy, too! Very pleased with every experience I have had here.

My first stop whenever i need to start dreaming about garden upgrades!

I was recently at Sloat in Kentfield. It has a great selection of plants and pots and a knowledgeable staff. Today however what stood out is Skyler. I was standing outside my car because it wouldn’t start. I had called AAA to come and help me. At that moment Skyler, a Sloat employee, walked up and asked me if I was having car trouble. When I explained that the car wouldn’t start he offered to jump the battery. It worked! I was so impressed that I didn’t have to go into the store to ask for a jump, but he saw me standing in the parking lot and offered to help. Thank you Skyler for going out of your way to be helpful. I am very grateful for your assistance.

Very helpful staff! Great plant selection as well that varies slightly each time you go to make it interesting.

Huge selection of indoor and outdoor plants, great selection of garden accessories. I found everything I needed and the prices were reasonable even for the rare harder to find items I was looking for. Will definitely return for any future plant projects.

Good selection of plants, particularly herbs and veggies. Remember to save the $5 off loyalty program credits that come with your receipt.

Simply the best nursery and garden center in Marin. Huge selection. Pro talent. Hands down the best. Parking is a little tight but what are you gonna do. Plants need their space!

the electrician called me and explained what had happened. I am understanding of his explanation. The quality of the actual work was fine.

Tomas was extraordinarily friendly, efficient and did great work. I highly recommend him.

We replaced an old Tesla charger with a new one. I highly recommend Thomas. He was on time and very professional. He did an excellent job for us.

Excellent work, prompt, reliable, and reasonable. I highly recommend Tomas who is knowledgeable in all aspects of electrical from older systems--he tackles the problem without demanding the homeowner upgrade--to new construction, he treats everyone fairly and patiently..

We could not be happier that we found Tomas Tripolt! We needed to upgrade our Insteon system and with his knowledge and experience - it was completed smoothly and is operating perfectly! Tomas is thorough, considerate and a rare individual who I am sure you will be pleased to work with - whatever your project!

Tomas is incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with, detail oriented, and professional. He's done commercial office work for us as well as work in our home. I highly recommend Tomas; really first class service!

In our first experience using Tomas, his service was really first class. He provided on time, top quality work that is now serving us well. We will recommend him to our friends.

Tomas installed two 240V outlets for EV charging at our home. Super clean install, responsive, and reasonably priced against 7 other places I called on. What more can you ask for? I will recommend him to others!

Tomas is very smart, kind, and dedicated. He came to my house on the same day I called him, arriving after a long day at 7:30pm. He provided me with terrific service, knowledge, and put me at ease. I would gladly recommend him. Feel free to contact me with any questions. Thanks. Tomas!

Tomas is a skilled Electrician. He does all of my electrical for my 8 unit commercial building. It is a very complex delta system with one leg that is 208 volts. If anything is hooked up incorrectly it will ruin whatever gets plugged into it. On top of that, there are a dozen sub panels and the building uses all of the 600 amp three phase coming to the building. What all this means is, it is complicated and needs to be done correctly. Tomas installed the entire system when I remodeled the building and everything works perfectly. He was also my electrician before this when the electrical system was junk and he kept it going despite tenants that needed more from the system than it could deliver. Tomas is a good guy to work with, friendly, kind and knowledgeable. He has been my electrician since 2002 and I highly recommend him.

Tomas did amazing work for me since 2009. He first worked in my clinic to set up my credit card line, and I was impressed how he worked so fast, and, cleaned everything up after he left. Than he hooked up my hot tub and Sauna and worked again fast and efficient. When I remodeled he did the lightening for my Studio and it looks beautiful. He also did the home automation with ALEXA, so no I can just give a command and my lights switch on and off, without getting up. I highly recommend his work and he is a very kind, grounded person. And last not least "Austrian Quality Work".

Tomas recently completed a project for our home and was exceptional to work with, from the quote through completion of the project. He was able to assess the situation and provided a solution that was effective, safe, looks great and was priced fairly. He is professional, knowledgeable, timely and completed the work above and beyond my expectations (which are admittedly high!). Tomas has been working as an electrician in Marin for many years and knows old and new systems inside and out. The quality of his work is second to none. If you need A+ electrical work done in Marin, I highly recommend giving Tomas a call. We will be using his services for all our electrical projects going forward.

Tom is professional, efficient, friendly, responsive and does high quality work. He completed work on our newly installed generator as well as installed electrical outlets. We are beyond pleased with his work and will definitely reach out to him in the future for any electrical work we need.
