I took the Backflow Repair class for 2” Backflow and under. Ron is a great instructor. He showed us the Repair methods to successfully repair Backflow. Ron has a wealth of knowledge and shared with us the tips and tricks that he uses in the field. Real world skills that he has gained for decades and shared all this with us. The hands on repair was great. Along with the repair manual, contact hours, as well as certificate of Backflow repair. Now I feel confident to approach Backflow repair with ease.
Highly recommend whether your a beginner or experienced, there is much to gain.

Took the BPAT 1 week course in Elsinore, very informative and thorough class. Instructor made sure that we really understood to material and explained it in a manner that a beginner student would comprehend the course material. I have been testing for years and after taking this course, I have a better understanding of the testing procedures. This course, definitely prepares you for the AWWA hands on test as well as the written portion of the certification to receive your testing license.

I recently attended the Cross Connection Control Specialist class with Ron. I was impressed with the presentation and professionalism he demonstrated. I’m new to this part of the industry, so I was very happy with the content of the class. He took us on a few field trips to show us how Cross Connection Control Specialists operate in the real world. So it was not just sitting in a classroom for 40 hours. We actually had hands on experience in the field. This is what made me even more interested in this type of career. I was very comfortable with his approach to teaching. I took the CCCS exam and PASSED it the week after the class. I felt very confident during the exam because of the training I was given. I highly recommend this course to anyone desiring to attain a CCCS certification.

CAL Valve has been my go to for several years not only parts and testing, but also for education. Ron is known throughout the industry not only for his knowledge, but his willingness to share it. Recently took Ron’s 1 week backflow crash course and found it to be excellent! The information presented to the class was easy to understand and take in. Most in the class weren’t even in the water industry and they still were able to learn and excel in the class. Ron made sure to make the information actually relevant to the written test for your certification. The class was split times in the mornings we would either be in the class room reading and studying the information or in the afternoons we would switch to the lab where we would get hands on training by his son Rocky who I might add seems to be a expert at testing procedures and is very knowledgeable and respectful. After two days of learning we were able to take a mid term exam to see where we are on knowledge and to know if we needed to study more or relax. The class found that the midterm was very important and helpful to our understanding. After the next day Ron had us going free on the lab or studying. I could tell he wanted each of his students to excel and pass his class and get there certificate. Testing was great his benches are made by his company and work perfect! On the last day we took our final and found that all of the class passed the final exam. And a reward for making it all the way to the end of his course ron bought the whole class jersey mikes. I would highly recommend this class for taking your certification for your backflow! Or any other things you need valves

This a great training facility. Ron, Jose and Rocky are great instructors. They teach you the way for you to pass your backflow certification. I took the week training and had my test the same Saturday and i pass my test. Great guys. Totally recommend Cal Valves for your AWWA Backflow certification training.

We recently took Ron's 2-Day Tester Refresher Course. Both days were the best classes I've ever taken! Everything is so organized and well planned. Ron is great at explaining things in a manner that can be understood. Ron is so experienced, he made learning easy. After the 2-day refresher we took the AWWA practical hands on exam the very next day at Cal Valve. Ron had us so prepped for the practical, including the troubleshooting we both passed without errors in about 20-minutes. During our refresher we had the opportunity to meet several of Ron's staff. Everyone is so welcoming, knowledgeable and very helpful. Cal Valve has my highest recommendation for anyone looking for knowledge, backflows & parts, classes & consultation.

I have been a backflow tester for 6 years. My certification was coming due and I was needing to get AWWA certified. Since I had never been AWWA certified, I was required to take the written and hands-on to get certified. I enrolled in Ron's 5-day course at Astra Industrial. Ron, and his staff (Rocky, Jose, Jasmine) provided excellent knowledge and hands-on learning. The class was full, but yet small enough to provide one-on-one assistance. His testing "device tree" simulates the errors that you could come across on your certification exam. And the classroom work Ron provides is very helpful and will assist in the written exam. With this being said, I passed the written and hands-on and am now AWWA certified. I can say with 100% certainty that I would not have accomplished this without his training and the class. Again, a BIG thanks to Ron, Rocky, Jose, and Jasmine. You all got me prepared to pass. Great prep and knowledge class and highly recommended
