Caden Air Care

The cleanup guys did a wonderful job! The air in my home is considerably fresher, and I can tell the HVAC system is performing better.

BEWARE! A LOT OF HIDDEN CHARGES!!!!

I needed my air ducts and return vent cleaned so I contacted Caden Air Care based on the good online reviews. I called to get a quote. The woman who I spoke with over the phone told me that the charge would be $269 for all vents and the return unit. I told her how that I had one return vent and 10 air ducts. I specifically asked her if there were any other hidden costs or fees and she told me no. So, I agreed to have a technician come out to complete the job.

Technician arrived and I showed him the return vent was and showed him the other vents / air ducts in my home. He then told me that he was going to charge me $269 just to clean the return vent and $59 per vent / air duct in my house. I was very upset because that is NOT what I was told over the phone. I immediately called Caden Air Care to let them know about the additional charges. I spoke with Adam and he told me that there is no way of them knowing how much the job would cost until the technician is on site. He told me that my vents could have mold, mildew, etc. I told him that the technician hadn't even gotten that far with inspecting my vents and that he was already quoting me an additional $59 per vent! I asked why I wasn't told about these extra charges especially when I SPECIFICALLY asked if there were any additional charges on top of the $269. Adam told me that the receptionist doesn't always know the charges for everything. I told him that was a very poor excuse and that he shouldn't have his staff giving quotes over the phone to potential customers if they're not fully aware of all the fees. Adam told me he would call me back in 5 minutes to give him time to speak with his manager and you guessed it, he did not call back. Needless to say, I had the technician leave without completing the job.

I hired Caden Air Care in Los Alamitos, CA because the dust around my return vents was becoming very severe. The techs detected a buildup of trash and even mold patches that required rapid treatment. They did a thorough sanitization and coil cleaning, which made a notable difference. The air feels cleaner, and my allergies have improved. I was really impressed by how thorough the deep cleaning was.
